Bought a project Armor Attack (cinematronics) tonight and it was DEAD!  Got it home, quickly went through  it and noticed a fuse was missing..... put in the fuse, fired her up and .. presto it worked blind.  So at least I am good on my boards... now it's the XY vector Monitor that I need to fix/replace. (I know it will be a challenge but I'm up for it)

Found one source but much moola!  Might try to fix it first.

wish me luck... this game is up there with TRON and Track & Field for me - for the all time greatest.

Great, good luck with your repair. Check the deflector transistors, it is a possible cause for non-working vector monitor.

They're the four big, metal transistors that connect to the side of the chassis, separated by heatsink compound. They come in the cap kits supplied by Bob Roberts. Radio Shack has the compound. You might even have some leftover HSC in the package that comes with a newly built computer.

The DEFLECTOR TRANSISTORS man! You know make sure the shields are up, photon torpedoes are locked on target and all phasers banks are fully activated.

(rolleyes) Sheesh amateurs. :)
