Well, not that anybody cares, but I am happy to say that Big Game is finally here... well... at least in my truck.
I was actually very surprised of the condition of it. Yeah, playfield is getting rough in the middle, but is easily retouched. I am even considering sending it out for a clearcoat considering it is pretty good. Needs a new lockdown bar for sure too... really bad one.
Backglass? Typical Stern. Starting to crack everywhere. Not as bad as I have seen elsewhere, but still a little rough. A 7 at best.
But the surprising one? The cabinet! Yeah, it has some scratches and small gouges here and there, but this has got to be one of the nicest, most solid overall 26-year-old cabs I have ever seen! It looks fantastic, even under! Not a chip of wood missing under the cab around the edges... In fact, it looks better than most DMD pins I have seen!
Overall, needs maybe a new backglass (will keep fingers crossed for Allentown, around 200$), a clearcoat job on pf (maybe 350$ with touchups), a board check-up (75$), new lights and rubbers (50$), and some elbow grease, and this game will be a very fine example for a BG...
Sorry bro, but I get the first dibs at a backglass in A-Town...
As yours may be a 7, mine is a 3.5 at best...(red? what red?)
I'm also looking for 1 spinner and lots of time to try to bring mine back to life....all this OT is killing 'Pinball Marc'! ARGH!!!
Current 'working' lineup: ( 2 ) Flipper Football, The Shadow
Gone but not forgotten: ( 22 ) City Slicker, Dirty Harry, CFTBL, Big Shot, Big Guns, Black Rose, Judge Dredd, Indianapolis 500, Big Game, BS: Dracula x 2, Beat the Clock, Fire!, F-14 Tomcat, Getaway, Breakshot, Cheetah, Meteor, El Dorado, Nitro Ground Shaker, Chexx Hockey, Slugfest
I already told you I'll fix it up and make it real nice for you. I even pay all the costs of parts, rubber kit, board repair, etc (except BG).
The cost to you: a partially working Meteor...
Think about it!!!
You'd get the Big Game up and running in your basement quicker this way!

I'm not in a rush... the Big Game was bought to be a 'long term project'...
If I see that there's no way I can get it running within this year, I may study your offer longer...

a repro Big Game spinner is better than a Night Rider spinner...
