Well, since I have officially started over collecting, I might as well post on what I have now...

Got a Stern Big Game (same one I previously had) in a services trade.

Got a Stern Meteor and a Gottlieb Flip-A-Card (both projects) in a trade for my old Zac.

Still have Wizard of Wor, Front Line, Astro Blaster and Missile Command (last 2 are projects).

And since I was too late for the Medusa, I went and made myself feel better... and bought a Barracora. Not a Stern, but I got a great deal on it. No complaints. Cool pin, great sounds... can't go wrong.

I haven't set any of them up yet, but I will have pics as soon as I do.

Not before it gets clearcoated. Playfield needs a bit of TLC around some inserts, nothing major.

Yeah... Flip A Card will be probably the most extensive restoration. I want to do Tiny's Seawitch cab and a couple of others before the FAC. Customers first!

Well, not 100%. Along with the Meteor, Big Game and Wild Fyre, there would be Barracora.

When I set them up. Currently, Big Game is in storage position in the shop, Meteor is dissassembled, Wild Fyre is not picked up yet, neither is Barracora. I also have a Flight 2000, Seawitch and Flash Gordon in storage position, awaiting restoration.

I tell you what... give me a couple of days to clean up a bit, and I will set them up. I should have pics by this weekend.

Well, I set up Big game last night, and was about to set up F2K and Flash Gordon when....

... I pressed the start button on BG.

Big mistake... 2 hours later, I was still playing. Got nothing done. Damn pinball. Well, tonight I finish the rest off. I have to get moving on that F2K anyways, to see what I need to tweak it.

Got the Wild Fyre set up.

The bad:

- MPU had the original battery on it... the 5101 is toast, but the board is not that bad. Won't boot.
- Scottish fuse under the playfield (uh-oh)
- It had tons of cat hair... spent an hour vacuuming and Febreezing
- backglass badly flaked... but...

the good:

- I can actually repair the backglass! It is flaked in an opaque area with a reproducible pattern
- playfield is filthy but nice
- cab is solid

The guy I got it from has had it since the early 80's and played it a lot until 2 years ago, when it broke down. I won't mess around and send all the boards out to be fixed. The rest just needs a big cleaning.

Funny tag on the lockdown bar... translated, it says ''IF YOU BREAK IT, YOU PAY FOR IT''. Too funny... I might just leave that there.

Holy cow... this weekend keeps on getting better and better...

1- I got boards repaired for the Wild Fyre. I put them in yesterday evening, and IT WORKS! Plays like crap (needs an mechanical overhaul) and 3 displays are out, but it runs!!!

2- Got the OK for a huge contract, which will permit me to get the Grand Lizard for the meeting.

3- I got my Stern Magic and Firepower out of storage. I think I can get the Firepower running...

4- One Montrealer wants me to build a small multi-jamma game for him, and I am picking up his Stern Nine Ball in exchange!

5- Sheetrock is up in my basement entrance.

And the weekend isn't half over!!!

congratulation my friend...you say shee so i know now it s a girl

if you need boards or displays...you know i have the code for the alibaba caver....lol

Man... I will have to update this soon! I must admit I am excited. I have had a string of crappy luck for the longest time and things are starting to look up.

I picked up a Future Spa and Spectar vid last weekend (THANKS GEOFF!!!!). I played my first game of Spectar in 28 years last Sunday. I know... crazy, but it blew me away. Simple game but SO much fun to play!

And the Future Spa... I know... this pin NEVER gets love, but ever since I restored one 2 years ago and played one last year at Allentown, I wanted one. She is a project, but the best kind of project. She needs a MPU, solenoid driver and displays, but OMG... the playfield is FANTASTIC. Top AND bottom! The metal under it looks like it came out of the factory! The backglass is also mint. A quick cab repant and this thing will probably end up as one of the best FS still out there.

AND to top it off... I have one more pin coming this week. I really can't wait. I played this at Pacmanboy's last year and I have been wanting one.

More soon...

So lots has changed.... no surprise there. But I am happy tonight. I am about to end up with my first 100% working pin in a long time!

My HUO Future Spa (yes... I kid you not... never routed!) had no boards in it except a dead lamp driver, a dead sound board and a fried power supply.

Now... it has an Alltek MPU, Alltek lamp driver, Rottendog solenoid driver, and Rottendog power supply board. It had no sound but I diagnosed a dead ROM chip. Steph is mailing me one soon!

So I actually have 4 pins to play now! Holy crap... and I haven't even tested Freefall yet. It will get the same treatment as FS. Silverball Mania I will see.

I am off to play again!

That's because I was once the only guy collecting them. Now you have all seen the light and are grabbing everything in site.

I am considering an Iron Maiden. There's this guy in quebec that has one, and he lowered the price to 3200$.

Got some spare SB300 sound boards for Seawitch too, so the sound on that one should also be fixed.

Seawitch is now fixed! I was feeling tired after working on customer playfields and backglasses last night so I needed a bit of release. I replaced the SB300 board in it with a working one and swapped the rom chip. 5 minutes of tweaking and she is 100%.

So I know have 4 working pins. First time since about 2005. Wow... Time for a meeting!   In fact, chances are within the next month I will have 3 more pins working. The way it is going, I think I will have to sell another project vid soon. Clear up more space...

And since my fridge that was in the garage is now downstairs, I didn't gain much.

So... I have the following functional:

Space Shuttle
Elektra
Future Spa
Seawitch
Exidy Spectar vid

Coming soon:
Centaur
Fathom
Dolly Parton
Playboy
Sega Turbo vid
Hockey Champ arcade game

Spark, am I missing something I heard Iron Maiden and Quebec all in the same sentence.

Hmm... forgot photos didn't I? I will take care of that tonight. At least, with the playoffs falling through, I did take the opportunity to reorganize my gameroom. I made it so that the space is maximized. Just about all the pins are facing the center of the gameroom so there is one big open space.

The back wall will have all the Ballys. Elektra, Future Spa, Fathom and Centaur.

Facing them, the 2 Sterns (Seawitch and Freefall) are together. To their right is Space Shuttle. Along the back wall, where my Grand Lizard used to be, will be the Bally Playboy. In the mix, the Targ and Turbo vids will be in there, and my Hockey Champ arcade game will be in the hallway. Silverball Mania will remain in storage (as it is the roughest) and I will figure out later where to put the juke. The Hockey Champ might just end up in my office or in the kids' playroom.

I would still give my left nut for a gameroom the size of yours. lol

...maybe in a few years, when my parents move out. THEN I will be able to fit ... oh... I say about 30 pins.

I still have to put in the Centaur, Fathom, Dolly Parton, Sega Turbo, Hockey game and jukebox. Considering putting the hockey game in my office. Makes room for the juke. Playboy will not stay very long. Once I refurbish it, it is out. Not a keeper for me.

Christ... I explain this onc a week.  Retiring from MAACA. Not from collecting. I still believe my time has come and gone. For a change, I want to put my money and time on my own collection. Not on a website for which I get nothing but expenses. That's all. Well, that and dealing with all the hassle. Like when I ban someone for fraudulent activity and that member's group of friends (that have no idea what the person has really done) slam me and discredit me. Mind you that hasn't happened in months, but I haven't banned anyone in months either...

The possible non-keepers are the Playboy, hockey game, Silverball Mania (I am 99% sure I will part it out... needs A LOT of work and no one will give me over 750$ for it, even if I refurbish it completely).

Trades are accepted.

I am keeping ALL my Stern backglasses. I want to hang them in the gameroom. I now have Seawitch, Freefall, Meteor, Lightning, Stingray, Wild Fyre, and Trident.

And no. The Seawitch is original glass. It is in decent condition.

Better this way, no space issue Let me clear some projects first and I will come back to you about it

I take projects too. They don't scare me. Sorcerer would look nice beside Space Shuttle.

That's not entirely true, I could see you adding a BSD.

I RARELY go back. I had one for over a year. Moved on. My mom keeps bugging me for a Getaway though. She played the hell out of it before it ended up in Glenn's hands.

The only pins I ever owned twice were Flight 2000 and Genesis, and only because they were deals I couldn't turn down. But... this being said... I do miss the midget.
