Well, I set up Big game last night, and was about to set up F2K and Flash Gordon when....

... I pressed the start button on BG.

Big mistake... 2 hours later, I was still playing. Got nothing done. Damn pinball. Well, tonight I finish the rest off. I have to get moving on that F2K anyways, to see what I need to tweak it.

Got the Wild Fyre set up.

The bad:

- MPU had the original battery on it... the 5101 is toast, but the board is not that bad. Won't boot.
- Scottish fuse under the playfield (uh-oh)
- It had tons of cat hair... spent an hour vacuuming and Febreezing
- backglass badly flaked... but...

the good:

- I can actually repair the backglass! It is flaked in an opaque area with a reproducible pattern
- playfield is filthy but nice
- cab is solid

The guy I got it from has had it since the early 80's and played it a lot until 2 years ago, when it broke down. I won't mess around and send all the boards out to be fixed. The rest just needs a big cleaning.

Funny tag on the lockdown bar... translated, it says ''IF YOU BREAK IT, YOU PAY FOR IT''. Too funny... I might just leave that there.

Holy cow... this weekend keeps on getting better and better...

1- I got boards repaired for the Wild Fyre. I put them in yesterday evening, and IT WORKS! Plays like crap (needs an mechanical overhaul) and 3 displays are out, but it runs!!!

2- Got the OK for a huge contract, which will permit me to get the Grand Lizard for the meeting.

3- I got my Stern Magic and Firepower out of storage. I think I can get the Firepower running...

4- One Montrealer wants me to build a small multi-jamma game for him, and I am picking up his Stern Nine Ball in exchange!

5- Sheetrock is up in my basement entrance.

And the weekend isn't half over!!!

Man... I will have to update this soon! I must admit I am excited. I have had a string of crappy luck for the longest time and things are starting to look up.

I picked up a Future Spa and Spectar vid last weekend (THANKS GEOFF!!!!). I played my first game of Spectar in 28 years last Sunday. I know... crazy, but it blew me away. Simple game but SO much fun to play!

And the Future Spa... I know... this pin NEVER gets love, but ever since I restored one 2 years ago and played one last year at Allentown, I wanted one. She is a project, but the best kind of project. She needs a MPU, solenoid driver and displays, but OMG... the playfield is FANTASTIC. Top AND bottom! The metal under it looks like it came out of the factory! The backglass is also mint. A quick cab repant and this thing will probably end up as one of the best FS still out there.

AND to top it off... I have one more pin coming this week. I really can't wait. I played this at Pacmanboy's last year and I have been wanting one.

More soon...
