Sell the mods separately.. Many people think that a TZ with a lot of mods is very tacky (quetaine pour les francos).. In any case they wouldn't want to pay near what you have in it.. If it's really nice you should be able to get around 4K$ for the machine + whatever you can get for the mods on Ebay..

Hmmm.. I don't know.. I think it's exagerated.. See below for examples of things that start out as a valuable item that then get modded just a bit too much...
I'm pretty sure the owners say "it's not as bad as it sounds" and they think their creation is pretty cool

Glad you enjoy it, but I gotta say personally that is the ugliest TZ I've ever seen Sorry
I don't mind a few tasteful mods like the Rocketship, Piano, Robby the robot, gumball light mod. But that is just way to cluttered. I really don't like the look of those proto plastics for the spiral, they make the game look really unfinished makes sense that they took them out.
End of the day if you like it, then more power to you but not my cup of tea at all.
Holy crap Batman!!! Yes it's as bad as it sounded!!!... Like I said about the cars pictured above.. The owners think they are WAY cool... But for me that's too much..
The backglass art is meant to complement the playfield artwork.. What you've done is duplicate everything that's on the backglass and on the playfield..
As mentioned before you'd better sell the mods separately.. Most collectors would offer LESS than if it was bare, no matter how much it cost you to mod it.. So to answer your original question about how much is it worth in this condition?? Less than the 4K you could get without the mods - I'd even say 2-3K because you've damaged plastics by sticking all this junk on them...

Actually I don't like the rocketship mod because it's totally different than the one in the show (and backglass artwork).

I like it, of the mods that exist, but I don't have one. The only mods I have are functonal ones, I have the 3rd magnet which I really like, the gumball light kit that really lights up a dark corner and the diverter magnet which stops bounce backs which has been great.
The game already has a lot going on in there. I would consider lighting the gumball to brighten the corner and that would be about it.
I had the gumball LED lighting kit too and it made a nice difference.. Also had the door flashers and that was totally useless.. For some reason I never had an issue with diverter bounce so I didn't need the magnet.. I still think the most important mod for a TZ is getting a decent subwoofer with some sort of volume attenuation for the backbox speakers..

Holy crap, that is fugly! TZ is a pinball, not a toy box. That is beyond a doubt the ugliest TZ I have ever seen. If you like it more power to you. The only mod I like is the light by the power playfield, but I refuse to spend over $70 USD for a piece of metal.
If you are looking at maxing your resale value, definitely take them off and sell them separately. Some of them are worth big bucks.
Once they are off, your TZ looks decent and I'm thinking market value. I think TZs are going for $3K to $3.5K. If so, I think that is your range. If you did screw up some plastics, deduct the cost of a repro set -- I think those are available. I don't have a need for a set, so I'm not positive on that.
Nope! no damaged plastics (not scewed but stuck and easilly removable). Only the slot plastic, but that slot machine will stay there, too hard to install and will be too hard to remove too. It's OK guys, I don't mind at all that you think it's ugly, it's not yours anyway. I LOVE MY "JUNK". Claude.
If it's all removeable then it's not a big deal I guess... Like you said, it doesn't matter that we think it's fugly.. What's important is that you like it!!!

Is the tube from the gumball machine screwed into the backbox?
It's pretty obvious from the picture that it is.. and probably all the other stuff on top too

My children love getting a real gumball when they get a replay award and that's why it's there favorite pin.
Me like you
Bribing the kids to get the wife's approval of the "toys".. Works all the time! I did that with RC airplanes too...

I really wish I could find a picture that was posted to RGP a few years ago. The guy was going for the ultimate mods and even had the 'butterfinger' mod.
But the one you posted was pretty close. I think the chocolate was removed though, before it was mounted.
I am starting to see the relevance to TZ. Quite imaginative.
I was going to take this one step further and get the whole family involved in pinball. I was thinking of putting some squeaky toys and a few Milk Bones into my CV so my dogs could enjoy pinball too.
If I could get my pinball machines to spit out gum when a replay is given, my girlfriend would never leave the house.
