I got screwed over 250$ for a freaking empty cabinet recently , the guy told me it was solid in good condition , man we exchanged 90 to 100 emails!
doesn't make sens,  i REALLY wanted to be sure it was the cab ive been looking for 6 yrs ,the seller told me he could bring it for a fee.. he lived at 2 hrs from me.
  the cabs arrives here , looks ruff but i was in a hurry ,didn't have time really to check it ,  i just put it inside the garage...
make the deal , he goes off,


hours later ... i inspect it , the cab is rotten head to toe , the wood is cracked all over ,
and literally falling appart (i even got pics to show)
the cracks were so deep.... that it bent both sides of the cab & front.

it took me nearly 1 month to get only 80$ back..(bleh a mess load of ****)if you ask me.
i guess we have to learn the hard way in this hobby sometimes.
it happens once twice then you learn to live with it & you develop a 6 sens for those guys!

what pisses me off with those guys , is that they are allowed to post on kijiji & ebay  & everywhere else and they will bite someone else.
ah well.

Was this in Burlington??? or somewhere else.  Do you have the address as it may be helpful for the rest of us to watch out for.  Maybe we should start helping other members out by briefly looking over machines that maybe local to us but really far for them.  I might not know much about pins and vids but I'm fairly sure I could tell someone if everything worked, if it is more or less as described, and if it's worth making the trip down.  I know most  of us have really busy lives but I think someone in the Burlington(or where ever)area could have had a 5 minute look and could have told sky when he came down to plan on spending more time checking over the quite apparent flaws and haggling the price WAY down.  It might have even saved him driving 11 hours as he might have gotten out of the deal.  Just a thought.  I know, I opened up a whole can of worms.  Guys are going to say they don't want to be responsible for someone else's purchase, blah,blah, blah.  I never said take responsibility, just a quick look  and test to see if it is MOST LIKELY as described.  That's all.

Sorry about your luck, I was also bidding on that, and was quite disappointed when I lost. I have been lucky I guess, and met nothing but good people on here, who delivered as promised. Hold your breath for a while, a good deal in the future will erase any pain this prick caused you.

but still a scam is a scam & should be either fixed or money sent back
