Went to look at the T2 on Kijiji last night.
This is the listing.

Terminator 2 pinball machine.  Needs some work but in decent cosmetic shape for the year.  Needs some work, I think a fuse is blown and is in need minor electrical work  and may need bits and pieces(bumpers).  Have Schematics and parts list to go with it.
Missing it's legs, they were lost in a move.
this unit is as is

The guy went through a long song and dance routine about just having a blown fuse.
Here have a beer !!
(It was working earlier he claims)
From what I could see-
The voltages on the power supply (LED's) are good, but it completely fails to boot.
No sound
The display is completely dead- nothing not even a glimmer.
Could not hear the high voltage even.
The battery holder is covered in acid crust.
I figure it needs a new CPU board, or a lot of work.
The high voltage for the display seems to be gone,
The display has bad screen scorch even turned off,
One of the coils under the playfield is burnt (Likely just the drive transistor)

I don't think this machine has worked for a long time.
Just trying to prevent anyone from falling for his fuse is blown routine.

Last week, I was looking for a Bobby Orr Power with little repairs to do...  but it was missing 2 displays completeky, I'm not sure if the other worked. Nearly all chip on the CPU was on scanbe socket + other damaged and not booting. I was tempted because the BG was good, but playfield was in bad shape.

After this, I'm wondering if all this hunt for a machine is really worth it... until the next ad

Sounds like its only worth $500. We should constantly start making him $500 offers until he 'gets it'
