I'm re-caping some G07 and I was wondering why there's a cover over C403, C701 and C506...What if I don't put it back?

If anyone knows, let me know.

Why wouldn't you put it back? It's just soldered on there. EMI with other components possibly. I think installed that area sits immediately under the back of the yoke. Might have some field effect issues.

I've run them with and without the cover, I've never noticed any difference at all.

Pretty sure it says in the manual never lick the back of a hot G07 without the little metal cover installed.
