Enjoy the break. There must be other things going on in your life causing the stress. Pinball cann't be the cause. Believe me, I know.

We have put two offers on houses in the last month or so, only to have both fail miserably on the property inspection. So far, I'm out more than a White Water and I have nothing to show for it. The worst was on the last one. We really thought we knew everything....didn't know the roof was leaking. Either the owner was hiding it or somehow it wasn't showing up on the ceiling (yeah right  ), but the property inspector found it AND alot of mold. His hand literally went through the ceiling by a simple touch. I was so stressed on Saturday when we discovered this. Then come home...our house was literally put on the market Saturday morning... and we had an offer! My agent called to tell us the good news....I'm probably the first client to respond "Oh no!" (she didn't know how the property inspection went). So now we have a solid offer and no place to go....not sure the next steps.

Damn, I rambled. Sorry about that. Guess I am sympathizing and venting. Life can be stressful. Go play the silver ball and take a break.

To Mike:  Enjoy the break, the holiday season is a good time if any.   I think part of the general stress levels around her might be due to the fact that we have not had a meeting in a while.  We need a local meeting to flame each other the proper way ... over a game of pinball

To Duane:  May I suggest renting a storage locker for your games and stuff.  It might be a few hundred bucks more per month but you won't have to worry about those things if your caught at a hotel or your in-laws for a few weeks while your waiting for your new house to come through.

Enjoy the break Mike. I think the guys are correct about stress, it takes the fun out of everything.

Duane: Good luck on the house hunting, it is such a pain. Hopefully you find what you are looking for. I do not know what is worse, the stress of finding the house that you like or the stress of not selling your house once you have purchased.

Breaks are a good thing and encouraged because hobby burnout is not good for anyone. I myself have been on break since before the summer just monitoring and responding to maintenance items. I now have been feeling much better about the hobby and slowly considering a new machine.

on this note I am declaring publicly that we are no longer deleting accounts because most of the time people will come back. for those that left and still come back as a guest you are welcome back you can recreate a account or ask an admin to see if we have a backup of your old account.

Thanks, folks! Enzo, I'll take the stress of finding a house over having two houses with two mortgages to pay. That's why we didn't put our house up until we found one. Problem was the building inspection on the house we bought. Oh well....

Matt, thanks for the suggestion. I actually have a few games in storage now. Won't sell our house without having one, though. I have a wife, 3 kids, a dog, and no family in town. No desire to rent a place until we find our next home. Baby steps for now.

Cheers,
Duane
