Your statement only compounds what I was saying. "Compete". And that is perfectly fine, but it's not what the MPL and OPL is about. We just don't take it so seriously, that's all.
Does that make us "lesser" players? Probably, but I doubt you will find anyone who cares about that here.
As for the last statement, sorry... I disagree. I have been to the GTA MANY times, and so have others from Montreal and Toronto for events. Ricker was the first guy I saw from the TOPL come to one of our events.
You can all go ahead and try to make this a Leafs-Habs type of rivalry by stating you are better, but I always go back to Rudy's quote... it's only pinball.
And that's fine, that was my point, you guys are casual and there is nothing wrong with that. That's why I said I don't see it happening the competition part isn't a priority. Just to clarify I never once said you guys were lesser players Yea you've come to the GTA and so has Johnny, but generally there are other reasons for being there. I'm sure Ricker didn't make the 5 hour trip to Montreal just to play, I'm sure he had other reasons for being there. Which is why I said I don't see anything like this happening unless it's at show or something where everyone is going to be there anyway for their own reasons. I'm happy that their are other leagues thriving in Canada, we don't need rivalry's to keep things going. You guys are casual, cool, TOPL is casual/competitive also fine, do what you do and enjoy what your doing, if ever comes a time where you want to take it to a competitive level cool, as the old saying goes Steel sharpens steel. I much rather play people who are going to beat me then people I can beat without a fight. |
