I've allways been curious as the actual price of doing a restoration with someone like Chris, but was never sure what to expect after allt he shipping, crateing, shipping it back and forth across the boarder if it was something I could afford to do.
Wait a minute. I thought you had gone through Treasure Cove with a TAF before this. Is there a comparison being made here? I know months ago you were looking forward to delivery on that machine. I take it the results were less than stellar.
If you were displeased, it wouldn't be the first complaint voiced here.

Satisfied is an understatement for the first time w/ a pin!
Thanks for the congrats!
Unfortunately Chris just pulled the folder from his site but it was an MM listed as RD's.
I figured I'd try all of the restorers but after dealing w/ Chris wouldn't try anyone else. That's not to say I didn't have a good experience w/ my TC TAF but @ the end of the day dealing w/ Chris was very easy. I won't do a direct compare except to say my TAF did not have a cc done on it's IPB & this MM pf is far superior than my unused BD TAF original spare. Also I will say I think Chris has better resources.
After being so satisfied, I'd have no prob sending my TZ to him & not calling him at all until he shipped it back - cruise control so to say. Some MAACA members have seen my collection & have commented on how superb (resto & original) it is but after this MM there can be no comparison to the HEP level. However the MM was "1 way shipping" so the shipping was expensive but only 1/2 so. I'd drive it 1 way next time & be able to meet Chris.
Pricing for the HEP machine was extremely competitive & actually cheaper (cheaper u say?) than another very well known restorer & THE SAME ball park as yet another. Feel free to call Chris to discuss costing - he's very supportive & talkative. He of course won't give u an exact quote until he gets into the teardown but itemizes all replacement parts & labour very well. He was dead on the money to the first rough quote so that was very pleasing in this case.
I really can't think of any way that a resto can get any better than this & I mean it. Far superior than NIB & dependant on title, prob cheaper too (that NIB TAFG went for how much?). I remember seeing a tv program on a Corvette restorer in the States who was restoring to factory - complete w/ all the over-spray on tires etc. - even sub-par alignments! So I guess u could get closer to NIB & start screwing up on purpose...lol!
