Just finished a few mods to a few games and am happy with the results.

Started with replacing the lamp shields with lamp domes on the Cannons of STTNG.  Followed up with modifying a red clear bumper cap for bumper under the ramp without a cap.  These two simple inexpensive mods really improved the look of this game.  Really!

Finially added glass gumballs to the gumball machine in TZ. To my surprise the gumballs I ordered were not exactly uniform in size.  The white gumballs were slightly larger and some of the other ones were slightly smaller, but when inside the gumball you would never know the difference.  Went with the glass gumballs as opposed to the plastic ones since (IMHO) they would look better.

Then I added the Palantir changing color LED to my LOR.  I have to admit this is the mod I am most impressed with, esp. the way it cycles through the colors when the Palantir is lit and the green color is intense.

The parts to complete these mods can be purchased from Pinball Life at a reasonable cost.
Palantir LED - $9.95
TZ glass gumballs - $4.95
Lamp domes - $1.50 X 2
Red Bumper Cap - $0 Find a used one that has one good screw hole, and cut out the side with the damage.  Okay that's what I did but you can also order this from Pinball Life as well for $3.00.

Currently working on the Flasher for the backbox eye in LOR.

Anyways if you have an questions concerning these mods fire away!

In response to the first inquiry, here is all the info you need for the STTNG bumper cap and cannon mods:  http://tarun.fliput.net/tarutune_en.html

Another site with some incredible info on STTNG:
http://www.beercade.com/pinball/sttng/sttng.htm

If you have any questions concerning this mod post on this link.

Note:  You don't have to use a file to bore out the holes on the cannons, use medium grit sand paper and after a few passes the light domes fit perfectly and they match up with the mounting holes for the original light shields.  This hole only needs to be bored out less than 1/16 " so sandpaper is fine.  The tricky part is getting the lamp shields off without breaking the plastic tabs.

Hope this helps.

Hey how bout those creach mods?

Yeah and I like the other mod she did to her creach with the 5mm green light hoods on the creach and bowl ramps.

Yeah, I really like the DMD mod as well (Eventually).

When I first got my creach I installed lamp holders in the bumpers, since I rebuilt the bumpers anyway and I just hooked up the lamps to the GI circuit.  I like the bumpers on all the time I guess.

I find the STTNG shader motor mod interesting ... though its not one I'll be doing anytime soon.  As for the paint scheme on the ships ..

I agree with you on both.  I definitely want to hook up a shaker motor on my STTNG pin that will really make the game come to life when battling the Borg.  The paint schemes on the ships can look pretty good as well, but I guess it all depends on the color scheme and the artist.
