2007 is coming quick, so It's time to clean out my 2006 emotional closet.

Adam's Collecting highs for 2006:
1. A very generous member's gift of a Cocktail cabinet and sundries for my Mame project.
2. A very well timed heads up on a Stargate pin
3. I'd previously decided not to mention this one but since I'm cleaning house I'm going to share it now.... Straight trade of my Pinbot for a T2. And I met a nice guy in the process.
4. Another generous member supplying me with a needed Baffle for my new T2.
5. Countless laughs at BZM's expense.
6. Kicked the Pinmame habit! (12 days clean  )
7. and many many more... This was a very good pinball year for me and my thanks to everyone who made it so.

Phil you could easily have your Diner back. AFM leaving the house a positive experience??, only if you got more than it was worth. Must find BSD just so I have every WPC title Phil has. . Yeah thats my goal in 07.

Oh and lastly, hope to overcome my Stern phobia.

hey one more thing, I delivered Black out yesterday and driving back, it hit me:  

I just made a guy (and his wife!) very happy by delivering, setting up and showing them how to use, diagnose and clean a pinball  and *that* made *me* happy. I was smilling all the way back. (and it's not the money, I actually lost 50$! )


Dealing with pinball is making me happy. there ! merry Christmas to all !

I don't think either title is gonna get a warm welcome here. One is morbid and the other, well let's just put it this way, she had some influence on it going. When she said just take the fish off that was it. What good is FT without the flopping fish for godness sakes!

dang.   i don't know all that i bought this year and got rid of...
  but it was alot.  don't really have many pins at the moment.  just a few.  but my cup runith over with vids.  will try and remeber soon.  just got back in from trenton.  busy day of the year and our shop was very much part of it.  didn't get to feed the cats till 2ish.  

  glad you had a fun time teaching others mr.hide.  did you give them the web address to join as well?

Hmmm... highs and lows for 2006. Collecting-wise, it has been a horrendous year for me, but here goes:

HIGHS:

- MAACA is still going strong
- first time in Allentown... had an awesome time with the MAACA gang!
- I met Shaggy in the flesh!!! (high point in my collecting years... awesome guy btw...)
- bought a new house with a workshop in August! BONUS!
- I finished Spacecadet's Big-a** control panel!!!
- I bought Big Game (twice!), Lightning, Meteor, Galaxy, Flight 2000, Skateball, Evel Knievel, Paragon, Genesis, Atari Football, Berzerk, Virtua Striker 2, Renegade, BankPanic, Atari Warlords, Wizard of Wor, Nova Darts. (That's 1.5 a month Phil!!!    )
- I restored a few pins and vids...Evel Knievel being one of the best ones.


LOWS:

- Gameroom was trashed a month after moving into the new house due to 2 burst water pipes less than a week apart
- Financial problems left and right have completely put to a stop me buying any nice games... in fact... any games at all.
- I had to sell all my DMD pins due to those financial problems...

-I bought Pinbot,Space Station,Big guns,Police Force and Bad Cats.Also find a Big Hit (for 20$)and sell it  2 month later.

-MAACA is not just a forum for me it is a GREAT COMMUNITY and a very good place to improve my english.


Lows:

-Lot of money $$$$$$$$$$$ to restore my PINBOT

-The  "crash" with my Bad Cats.


For 2007:

-2 more system 11 (Fire!,Jokerz!,SOF or Taxi)

-Find a NOS translite for my Pinbot(Ok I dreaming....)

and get to a meetings in Montréal area.

Highs of 2006:
- Brought a nice Firepower back from the dead. (With help from Mindstorm88 )
- Acquired a nice Pinbot.
- Sold the above Pinbot. (I love the theme and gameplay of Pinbot, but I'm
still convinced that the killer outlanes make this one of the most frustrating games
in pinball history. I was glad to see it go and won't be buying another at any price.
Call me crazy.)
- Acquired a nice Space Station. (Love this game.)
- Acquired a nice Terminator 2.
- Acquired a nice Robotron.
- Acquired a nice Defender.
- Acquired a nice Mad Planets.
- Fixed up and sold off a bunch of vids (ongoing from 2005), which basically gave
me the money and space to acquire the machines I now have.

Lows:
- Traded away Sorcerer and lost a ton of money on the deal.   I would have liked
to have completed this project, but time and space were of the essence and I just
couldn't see it happening quickly, so the decision was made to cut my losses and
get something else (which turned out to be Pinbot).

- Traded away Firepower and picked up Space Station. I don't regret the trade, but I
miss Firepower.

For 2007:
- Allentown.
- Pick up a 3rd pin, now that I've configured the game room to allow for it.
- Explore the foresaken side of pinball (Data East, Gottlieb System 1/80, etc.). There's
enough Williams snobs in the world already.
