Thinking of getting a machine from Ontario delivered to Calgary.

Never did this before any comments would be great.

Any suggestions for a shipper, best way to go dock to dock, deliver to curb , in house etc?

If I get lower costing delivery to a local dock, will someone at the dock help load it in my van, etc....

If this is your first pin then getting it delivered to your home may be better.  Probably $100 more.  They will deliver to your garage.  Then you will have to unpack the pin which should be wrapped up with cardboard or maybe in a crate sitting on a pallet.  And please oh please tell me you aren't buying from someone named Utley or Anderson.  Don't want to see you get screwed on your first pin.

PS - If you end up going through with it, I can probably help.
PPS - What pin are you getting?

If you use a carrier like Maritime Ontario or ... hmmm there are a couple others that are reasonable cost and used by people here.... whether they help you at the terminal depends on how interested in pinballs they are, and how nice you treat them!  .  However, when I have sent and received shipments via Maritime Ontario (terminal to terminal) I have always found them helpful, but it is best to bring a friend for helping lift in and out.  And bring some cardboard to protect your bumper or tailgate.
