Bagels on Ste Viater, Arahova for really good Greek across the street.

Some people like Bar-B Barns ribs on St Catherines.  Crescent street for a drink.

Moishes for an insane steak.  Several delis...don't know which is best? Dunns?

You do not need plans other than to go explore.

Old Montreal
St. Catherines Street - bars etc.
Saint Joseph's Oratory - http://www.saint-joseph.org/

There are tons of boutique reastaurants, many have good prices and you can bring your own wine. Ask around an don't be surprised if they are in a basement of an old house not on a main road.

Lots of shopping and always tickets for events downtown. Comedy, music, arts, theatre, etc.

Montreal can be what you want it to be, but try not to get caught just on the main busy streets, lots of great places everywhere.

Allthough commercial eggspectation is a good breakfast place.

Have fun.

Current Lineup:
Black Knight, Riverboat Gambler, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Flintstones, Orbitor 1, Wipe Out, Breakshot, The Simpsons Pinball Party, Fish Tales, Eight Ball and a 60 in 1 Cocktail.

Project:

My personal favorite is Rubens (Corner McGill College/ St-Cath), - crowded that Schwartz, better services, etc.

Microbreweries, If you are stuck west of the city, there’s always Brutopia on Crescent Street. But if you don’t mind traveling a little bit, Try Cheval Blanc on Ontario Street (near St-Denis), L’Amere A Boire on St-Denis, Dieu du Ciel Laurier near St-Laurent.

For activities, there is a festival going on this week-end : http://www.montrealenlumiere.com/accueil_fr.aspx
