Let's change the subject a bit and get away from all the government crap.
Describe your best epic win on pinball or even vids. You know... the time that all the planets were aligned and you basically had your BEST game moment. The game you will never forget! Like the time you doubled your high score, or when you actually reached a kill screen after years of practice, or when you were down bigtime on points against an opponent and you came back on your last ball and beat him so badly he never wanted to play you again...
The truly EPIC win...
Let's hear it. Don't be afraid to brag your a** off!!
I beat AncientGames on his Batman Forever while I was there, that was kinda nice... (beginners luck though, I'd never played it before).
Beating Todd McCullough at a $1 throwdown in Allentown was also a nice moment.. (especially since I couldn't see straight.. it was one of those "in the zone" moments you have right before passing out)
Own Magic, Star Gazer, Batman Forever, STTNG, Mystery Castle (project)
Gone Fairy, Secret Service, Meteor x3, Title Fight, Eight Ball Deluxe, Bone Busters Inc., Seawitch, Starship Troopers, Strange Science, Arena, Hook, Pin*Bot x2, Time Warp, Motordome, Robocop, Black hole, Jurassic Park , Wipe-Out, Pinball Pro: Challenger I, Swords of Fury, Stargate, Party Zone
My most EPIC is... I don't really have any, I suck at pinball and vids! I only play at MPL meeting so I won't have an epic moment coming soon, I just roll my first SS last meeting but even if I had some high score, I still have one of the worst average so all small victory is nearly epic for me

I know you didn't win A's my point was just scanning the results I think your win was the best showing by someone from north of the border
Depends on your take.
Canadians have qualified in the A division making it into the TOP 16 which to me is a greater accomplishment then winning B division.
Wining B was great as an accomplishment in and of itself but A is another entity in an of itself and I think it takes more effort and skill to qualify in A then it did winning B.
UW had a great arcade in a room above the pub and there were two machines in the pub itself. They were having a week-long high-score contest on one of the games in the pub.
One night, I got on a major roll. I wish I could remember what game it was, but I do remember that it had a roto-target in the middle of the playfield. I had that thing spinning like mad and racking up huge points. I had a major crowd going and it was quite the buzz. They went nuts when I rolled the score over. Apparently, no one had ever seen it done before. When the last ball finally drained, we pulled one of the bar staff over to record the score. I thought they were going to kill him when he questioned the rollover.
I won a Blue Oyster Cult t-shirt and their Agents of Fortune album. I still have them both.
August 1982. I entered a pinball tournament at 8 years old at a campground where my parents had a camping trailer. The prize was 50$ I gave my 2$ allowance to enter.
I beat out 39 other guys averaging well over twice my age. In the final game, I beat out the 3 other guys on Rolling Stones... actually, correction... I SLAYED THEM. I still remember it vividly.
3-ball game on Rolling Stones. 4 players. In a smoke-filled hall. Donnie Iris was screaming "Ah Leah!" on the juke. I was 3rd in line to play. I got around 185000 on first ball, 600000 by the second and by the end of the third ball (and an extra ball) I rolled that pin well over twice over. I was at max bonus with max multiplier and I sent the ball in the "collect bonus" saucer 4 times.
The second best score was 200000 points or something like that.
So to sum it up, a bunch of tough guys with jean jackets with Ozzy patches on the back got their asses handed to them by a scrawny little kid.
wow loads of local matches at the arcade growing up. mr. arcade here in peterborough use to have matches every week on certain machines and the top score would get $10 in arcade money. it always seem to be me and my friend chris (which more then a few of you have meet) winning them. most days, chris and i would take turns at the arcades. who ever got there first would pick a pin and play. win loads of credits till the other show up. play against each other and then if one would want to leave that was fine. the other would stay and play and then who ever left would come back and let the other go. we would hog the machine all day. that was back in our acid days. if we both wanted to leave. we would just sell off all the credits and split the money.
but my best time with pinball, was when i was working at BPM (bar in peterborough) back when the addams family first came out. they brought it into the bar. i would start work at noon. one day i started drinking right away when i got to work and started a game. it wasn't that busy during the day that day. but when someone needed a drink they would come over and save my ball. then later it picked up alot. so i started telling everyone to pour their own drinks. no one complained and they even started pouring me mine. then dess (other bartender) came in for the late shift. i just kept playing and drinking. it was when i was a smoker and you could still smoke in places. but not my funny stuff. so i had people hold the ball while i went out for a joint ever so often. also people would bring me food from pete's subs across the street. i played even after we closed the bar. we usally stay after hours with a crowd of regulars on i think thursdays and watched kids in the hall. they moved one of the t.v. for me so i could still watch. in the end i was more then a little tipsy. i rolled the machine twice and almost did it a third time. over 15hrs i owned the machine for .50 cents. still ended up taking home a new girlfriend that night as well. plus my tip jar was overfull from everyone pouring their own.
as for arcade machine. in trenton during the hayday of arcades we had nine at the most at one time. not bad for a town with less then 1500 then (now they are a city). but we did have a guinness world record their for one day/night for asteroids and defender. i am sure that the asteroids record was beat that day/night. but the guy trying for defender wasn't having a good day. i was allowed to stay there all day and night due to the owners of phils arcade lived four houses away and they liked me. i ended up playing arabian most of that night and bet i set a world record on it as well. but who would care? i did. cost .25 cents and i finished the book at least a dozen times and played most of the night away till they closed. the great part was besides killing on a game no one cared about was, i only had a dollar for the day and night (two weeks allowence). so i played haunted house pinball earlier in the day for money against alot of the new comers who wanted to watch the record attemp. the regulars there wouldn't play against me for money on pinball and most vids. well except hyper olympics. i would get my butt kicked by tony boberio and loss my money to him. but now i kick butt on hyper olympics and when we had our shop in trenton, tony worked at the hair salon in the building behind ours. i kicked his butt everytime he came in to play (which was almost every day). but back to that day. playing haunted house against people who didn't know me, i earn enough to enjoy myself that day and night. earned enough that i got to play arcade games all day, had my food and smokes paid for and more then a couple times did i pick my music on the jukebox (adam and the ants, billy idol, joan jett). then when i was down to my last dollar that when i played arabian. they had to turn off the machine to close up the arcade on me. well that and they took me home as well. loads of other great stories. i started pinsetting when i just turned 7 at our downtown lanes that my brothers bowled at. the bowling alley always had great e.m. pins. later when i was around 9 our friends bought brighton go-karts. they had a great pin arcade with that being the first place i played captain fantastic and some other classics at. one time they got broken into and the bastards broke all the glass on the playfields. i had stayed over at their place that night and was so sad when we all opened that day. but to make me happy, the owners let me use the vacume to clean out captain and play till the cops arrived. then another time we found a warehouse on the trent river that was full of machines. we broke in and played all night. we didn't hurt any of course. also i have went down that old path more then once to see if i could find that building. i even took eve and erin with me. but i never found it again. well thats enough or i would just keep going on. i just love playing and almost every time is special. now that i am selling off most of my machines........................gone today STREET FIGHTER II pinball.
