Selling an extra 19" std. res. monitor with chassis.   It works fine.  The only negative things I could say about it is; 1) some minor burn-in, and 2) red was weak if I recall correctly (it is there, just not a sharp as it could be).  Other then that it's a great monitor for the price.

I had a buddy use a strong magnet over another one of my monitors, and it brought the colour back 100%... not sure if this would work here... I assume it would?  Honestly don't know that much about monitors (except that they can kill you).

No longer for sale.  sorry

What chassis does it have? Can you take a pic of the burn as well as the chassis, please?

I have a GO7-CBO 19" with a cracked flyback, darnit. I know Bob Roberts has them yours might be a quicker solution.

A monitor can't kill you. It can give you a nasty jolt, but unless you're already suffering from a condition that would predispose you to death from an electric shock, it's highly unlikely that the voltage from a normal CRT would kill you.

Has anyone here ever heard of a monitor killing someone? I've been shocked by monitors a couple of times and I've heard stories from others saying that they've been shocked by the voltage in a monitor. But never have I heard of anyone literally being "killed". Not only that, if you take a little time to learn how to properly discharge a monitor (which is actually very easy), there is no longer the threat of electric shock anyway.

I've been shocked a few times trying to adjust the pots in my stoopid Atari cocktail. What a jolt; went right up to my shoulder one time.

But Corey is right, it is very easy to discharge a monitor. I bought the fancy screwdriver that Bob Roberts makes for $12 and, as suggested on many tutorial videos, stick my hands in my pockets and from a safe distance watch my wife pluck the sucker thingys right off! I am no longer worried.
