I speant some time with the wiring loom, put colex connectors on all the coils, took all the coils off and cleaned the wiring loom.
I've decided to try my hand at restoring the cabinet so next week I'm going to pull the cabinet out of my basment and start taking all the hardware off the cabinet, ground braid, side rails (mabye not the side rails haven't decided, they don't need to be replaced just regrained) then mask everything off and repaint all the black after I put some bondo in the knicks and drill holes.
Right now Elio has my speaker panel so I'm getting the speakers upgraded.
No spare parts yet but I've pretty much decided I'm going to but a new plastic set so I will have some spare TAF plastics. There is nothing wring with mine, other then some have yellowed over the years.
That's kinda where I stand with this right now, I hope to have everything finished by end of the summer hopefully, who knows.

The body work can take some time, I'm doing 2 at once right now (pair of Flash's) from patching to primer to black base coat to stenciling the red and white onto it. Would be much easier to do 1 at a time
It's your keeper so enjoy the process man and don't rush it Brian

Just ordered the diverter magnet as I find the ball bounces out allot.
Ordered the Pyramid topper from pinball pro as well.
I'm thinking about doing the 3rd magent mod, but I'm scared to drill the playfield.
When I get back from the states I'm going to take out the slot machine and get it welded.
One funny thing I found which I'm not sure how to fix, in the gumball machine there is a piece of plastic that is angled so the balls don't end up on top of each other, mine is missing, no idea what it is supposed to be attached to or where I would find one, any ideas?

I was wondering about that myself since i got mine, what are the rules on the third magnet ? What else is it supposed to do ? Physically i mean, why would you have 2 lined up in there ?
Gotta admit i didnt Googled yet to find out... but i,m curious to know what changes to the spiral loop will it really do ?

What extra's do you get and when ? First : The 3rd magnet will only work under the following conditions. The game must know that a Ceramic powerball is present. The game needs to know that this powerball is in the Gumball machine. The lock must be empty. If these conditions are not met, the game will play as if there is no 3rd magnet present. So after switching the game on Powerballmania must be played once If you do not turn off the power of the game this condition will be kept in memory. After switching the power off, entering the setup menu or a Slamtilt the game forgets where the powerball is located and thus a powerball mania needs to be played again.
But IF you got all conditions correct........... Lock Multiball : Lock one ball....................... Shoot the left ramp............................. The autolaucher fires two balls one by one into the orbit. The first ball is caught by the left magnet, the second ball on the upper right magnet and the third ball is released from the lock and caught by the lower right magnet. For a short moment all three are hold and then suddenly released all together. Whoorps....hands on flippers........
It sounds like nothing but you really must SÉÉ this happen to love it, it's a typical Twilight Zone gadget and it sure carries Pat's and Teds signs.
Remark : When a second ball is Locked in the lock nothing special will happen and a normal mulitball will be played. If you try a second time to play multiball it will be a normal one.
Spiral Mode : Shoot a ball thought the orbit, it will be caught by the 1st magnet it meets. A second orbitshot will be caught on the preceding magnet. The third ball one magnet further. If you manage to shoot the orbit a 4th time the ball will BREAKTHOUGH and score 15M. So that's what they meant with the breakthrough, try to pass all magnets.

Says it has templates to make sure you srill in the right spot on both the playfield and lane guide, I might pick that up. I think for now, I want to get Addams family back in one piece then I'm going to work on shopping out TZ and NF.
you can do the missing gumball part with lexan. I think I've actually made one for Marty at some point ... so if you can't find somebody to help locally, I can make it for you
That would be awsome if you were able to do that, let me know what what your cost would be to do the work. I don't have a template to create the item myself, but if you've done it before, I don't mind paying to have it shipped to me.

If you like I can make up a set for you -- actually going to enlist Mary Ellen as she is a much better cutter than me -- I know she will be reading this -- so it will be a team effort. I'll pick up the Lexan this weekend. Shipping on me.
Phil, I thought I would offer my help as I know how busy things can be with a new little one.
If that is alright with both of you, I'll get it done this weekend.

Gee Duane with friends like you who needs........ .
All kidding aside, no prob with me. I haven't played at my scroll saw for a few weeks anyways. I've got a thick piece of lexan also so might be better for that piece - we'll see. If I have time Adam, I'll whip off a protector set for your TZ plastics also. It would be my pleasure.
ME
PS Duane - you just volunteered to babysit 6 kids outside????? while I scroll saw......definitely OK with me
Duane & Mary Ellen, thanks for the offer, yea if you guys have the time that would be awesome! Right now I just threw in an extra pinball because they kept getting stuck. But if you guys would be willing to make one for me that would be awesome!
Chris, yea that is exactly what I'm missing, thanks.
Mr Hide, thanks for the offer, I forgot you had a new young one running around so the offer is defiantly appreciated epically since you must be short on free time.
Even with that kit you still have to buy the bracket, pole, magnet coil, and nut from Marco or Bay Area Amusements. With shipping and parts from both places the whole thing will run you about 200$ cdn + a whole lotta work AND drilling into your pf... Usually you can't recover the cost of the mods when you sell so it has to be for your enjoyment... One mod you MUST get is the gumball lighting kit.. I just installed mine and OMFG!!! What a difference!!! Looks FANTASTIC! Bought it from Pinbits, same seller as the 3rd magnet kit.. The only other mod I'll get is the piano 'cause it looks too damn good and makes the red & yellow lights more visible..
The mods to have (IMHO) are: Pinball Pro Subwoofer kit, Gumball lighting kit from Pinbits, and piano from Pinball Pro.
The other common mods are mostly cosmetic and don't enhance gameplay as much, such as the rocket, camera, robot, slot machine, backboard decal, GUM+BALL insert flasher kit, etc...

After a while i walked downstairs to see if everything was ok and he was playing the TZ :-| I didnt said a word and got back upstairs, i wish i could have done the same when i was 4 years old... i was happy thou, daddy didnt invested that much money for nothing

Mine bounces too however it's never bounced off the ramp and never missed the diverter action so I'm not planning on the magnet thing.. In addition, the ball that bounces the most is the Powerball and a magnet just won't help

The powerball is supposed to be sent either in the spiral loop or back in the Gumball.. why the hell are you sending it to that ramp ?
To set myself up for double jackpot during multiball...

the software compensate for the bouncing ... another useless waste of money !
.. oh and don't shoot it that ramp Mike, when in multiball, shoot it in the right orbit and hold the left flipper ... straight to the vault !! ( err.. .wrong game pal! )
the software compensate for the bouncing ... another useless waste of money !
Yea it does, but I don't want it to bounce, I want it to stick. Nothing worse then needing that piano shot to have it bounce out and then get knocked off the ramp by the diverter.
