just picked up a nice Centaur. The speech is working but only some sounds. It looks as though the squack and talk board has been re-capped The vocalizer board is also dis-connected. Any ideas.

Put it into self test. Go to position 18. Press the start button until '3' is on the credit display. Advance through the rest of the self test positions until the machine resets.

Instant sound!

By the way, you might want to download the manual and walk through it. Lots of interesting stuff in there.

(The only reason I know this is because I have an EBD, but it's in the manual, too.)
