I use padded envelopes to ship my eproms...

... but I secure the eproms on 200lb crush-proof static foam inside a static bag.
(...ie, you would need 200lb of pressure before you started crush the foam enough to bend the pins...).

Over 2000 eproms and not a single complaint...

... so far !

Steph

Ok the real mystery would be that it is the A/V ASIC and not the CPU

If it's the A/V, did you get the adapter with it?

Wayne had said back when the cpu asic would ship june 2nd, that the AV asic would be released a month or two later. we all keep our fingers crossed that he holds up that schedule.

but he charged $30 aussie dollars for shipping.. i had just assumed that tiny cardboard box (along with the special packaging container he was waiting for for--as he stated on r.g.p as reason for delay) raised the shipping prices but what balls...  ie $1 for padded envelope, .50 cents for anti-static bag and postage was $2.
just boggles the mind considering that when purchasing TTL chips, they at least use styrofoam to protect the tiny legs.

zip, nadda, bupkus....

next time, i'll just order from BAA. it will be cheaper.   Now that i know the boycott against wayne is that strong (notice how nobody even pre-ordered from BAA, that they had to have a opening day special (ontop of lowering the price by $20), i'll just order from BAA.
