Just picked up a High Speed this weekend. It's really nice, but it's missing the iconic beacon topper. How am I supposed to inform everyone in my basement that the coppers are after me? If you know where I can get one, please send me a PM to let me know!

Found these instructions for modifying a Happ beacon to work with HS. It should be a lot cheaper than buying an original. What do you guys think?

Has anyone bought from Happ before? What's their shipping like? Looks like they only offer UPS and fedex, what's the cheapest option?

Happ shipping is brutal, but suck it up and have it sent Overnight that way they are taking care of the brokerage at least (I think).

I could also have it sent to the UPS store in Ogdensburg (45 minute drive to the US border from Ottawa).

There's also a beacon motor for sale on ebay, but no dome. Is that a better route?

If it's Happ, you could call Starburst with the Happ part number and they can order it.  Saves on shipping and brokerage.

Not sure, I've only ordered parts from Starburst, Bob Roberts and BAA.  Shipping has always scared me off of the others.

My understanding from quoting past orders is that Starburst marks up for the shipping and brokerage (although one would think you'd get a break if they were making a large order) - I was told by "what's his name" there that there was no difference in price.

I sent you some pics so you can see how it looks like. The scratches are on the top of the dome. Mounting ring is perfect(no crack, chips, missing plastic). The surface around is also perfect(no scratches, cracks).
