Cant post pics just yet...my camera got stolen a while ago and I never bothered to get another. I usually borrow a friends these days when I need one.
So far I just finished shopping it. Replaced a few siezed coils. Has to dismantle and clean a few other moving parts...that didnt want to  move anymore. Fired her up again, got lights, so all GI bulbs are working, lots of cleaning and tightening. Game is in really good shape condsidering. Not at the point where I can put her in test yet but it'll be soon. I know these system 11s like the back of my hand by now. I'll get some shots up, they'll be 'after' shots tho, I wish I had before shots of all the pins I shined up and got working.
Its going to be a nice one. may have to make a decal for the 60,000 in the upper pf, I cant see myself painting it. Time for bed, been a long night and I cant stop once I get going!

i was going to pick it up but i ve only worked on ems and dont know about these ss ones. i talked to the guy since i bought a pin from one of his content sales a few months back and tried to lower the price some more. i phoned him yesterday and said someone bought it and it was running when he picked it up. congrats on it, hope you make some money on it. looks like a cool machine, my wife would of hated the snake theme anyways.

It wasnt running exactly, I just got it to get the flippers going with the GI lights on, thats it. That guy isnt a pinball guy, he just sells stuff. Nice guy tho. He helped me move the pin from the basement. Five gold stars for him! Also, it had a locked ball in a spot that now I know why it couldnt move. That was one of the locked up coils...the left ball eject coil, where the balls lock. However, the reason I was posting today in  the first place is to say NOW its running!

The lizard is alive!

Had a few loose connectors that needed work, lotsa stuck coils, some changed, some parts just needed a good cleaning, player 2 display fixed, stuck switches fixed, totally shopped, nice new rubbers, lotsa new lights and flashers. Cleaned, cleaned, cleaned. Gameplay still had a few glitches after I finally got it to boot properly but it seems I've gotten to everything because it's playing great now. Sometimes machines that havent moved anything in a long time, all they need is a few plays to get them going again, same for this pin. And the end result?

Probably THE nicest GL I've ever seen.

As soon as I borrow a camera, shots will go up for people who wanna see it but even better, I'll be hauling this game out to the pinball show and set up for freeplay. Two reasons for that really. One, I want it to run for a long time and see how she holds up. Two, then I'll be selling her.

Wait till you see how friggin nice this turned out. Now I can heal all the cuts on my hands!

Whats the price going to be Pinstocker wants to know? I have no idea. Whats a really nice Grand Lizard sell for these days? With a cab that looks so new it still shines...I might add.

Seriously, how much should I charge? ...thats a great question, how much would YOU charge?

2010 guide: $750
Boston Pinball avg.: ~$560 (probably a lot of worn playfields in that average)

$700 would be a good price, especially if it's as nice as you say. Or bring it to the Toronto Pinball Show and take your chances with a retail mark-up. Say, $900 ... or more? The nifty sounds and light show will draw a lot of players, I'm sure.

Your dedication to System 11's definitely paid off with this score ... and it'll help you get closer to that Stern Spider-man.

I WISH I took before pictures Brock...heck, if I had before pics of all the machines I got looking stellar...man, some of them you wouldnt recognize.

For this one, just picture a dirty dirty machine, top to bottom, inside and out, with disintegrated rubbers and old rubber bands where rubbers were no more. I just LOVE old rubber band rubbers! Every part was black on this game, coils, plastics, you name it. Not anymore. You'll see at the show hopefully.

sounds like the dirt actually helped preserve the machine!  I love it when that happens...
