I just figured I'd start a little thread about places in the area that have some vids and pins.  Lindsay used to have the Amusement Center which changed to Amilios on Kent St (closed), it had JJ's which is now a book exchange on Angeline N., Red Pine right near I.E. Weldon but is a grocery store now and the Eagles Nest were you could pay for your pool or snooker with Canadian Tire money, no sh:t, I never had cash but always the CT paper.  A couple other bars used to have stuff but not much now.

Heres what I know of but I'll be going around again soon.

The Grand Experience: its out back in the hall, most don't know about it unless you come in through the back.  It has :    
1:   LEATHAL WEAPON 3 PIN - working and in nice shape once again
2:   Narc cab with 4 slot marque with playchoice games Donkey kong country, top speed, Nba jam, MK2.
3:   Dynamo cab with Mat Mania Marque but has Marvel Super heroes in it.
4:   Tetris with actual Tetris marquee thats faded and curled

Square Boys Pizza on Kent St:    
1:  Demolition Man Pin - real nice shape again
2:  Crazy Taxi, working again
3:  4 slot Neo Geo with Fatal Fury, Puzzle Bobble ?
4:  Touch screen

The York Bar and Tavern on Kent St.;        
1:  World Cup Soccer - very nice condition
2: Golden Tee 2004
3:  Touch screen? Hate these....

Captains Restaurant - Formerly Captain Fantastics/Kawartha Lakes Hotel, 1km south on hwy 35 from the intersection of hwy 7 and 35/suicide corners.  Went there for breakfast (awsome) and they had a games room that took tokens and vids took loonies:
1: Big Buck Hunter - loonies
2: Championship Golf - loonies
3: Skee Ball = tokens - not working right
4: Some target shooting air gun - tokens
5: Air Hockey - tokens
6: Shuffle Board
More kiddy stuff too.

Thurstonia Store? - off Hwy 36 on Thurstonia Rd, 10 min North of Lindsay near my house
1- Hook Pinball DMD(data east)- looks good - Week flippers, can't get it up the ramps....
2: Congo Pinball DMD(williams) works pretty good (NO LONGER THERE)
3: 3 player shooter by sega?- off
4- Outrun Turbo cockpit- works good
5- counter top touch screen
6- upright touchscreen w. 27 games
7- air hockey
9- 2 pool tables
Really not a bad place.  Right across from sturgeon lake and the marina.  Clean and out of the way.  Never busy

1: Revenge From Mars Pin - works but no 3D display - very dark game, is this normal?

There are about 4 other vids and a pool table but I wasn't there long enough to try any.

  Not true, Hardkor has a bunch, so he is helping the province catch up!!

I guess for a small town its not bad but like most they are in fair to poor condition.  I went to play Crazy Taxi, put my quarter in and pushed start.....screen went blank.   I was playing Demolition man and half way through the sound died.  I've been back over the last 2 months and still no sound.  Owner of the pizza joint said it goes on and off and the op is too busy.  He's busy because his stuff is spread out all over the place....hrs away.  But thats the business I guess.

I've been trying to talk my wife into letting me open a retro arcade but she won't go for it..... .  I'd be my best customer!

Some MAACA guys should join forces and share the load of opening a place.  Pool tables, pins, vids, darts, big screen, beer.   Ah, that would be grand...   MAACA central.

Whew!! I was kind of worried there for a bit!!

Spent the day at a local store in the boondocks.  Played some pin and shot the sh:t with the store owner.  Pretty layed back place and not a bad place to detour to if you want to shoot a game of pool or play a couple pins or vids while traveling Hwy 36 between Lindsay and Bobcaygeon.

I'm off work starting monday until May 18th so I'll be checking out the Bobcaygeon Bowling Ally soon to see what they have.

Yeah, if you had of continued North from Dunsford another 5 mins and then followed along the Shore of Sturgeon you would have past it.  Maybe a 10 minute detour on your way to my house.  I'll try to find an address for you so you can MAPQUEST it, I know how you are with instructions   If you in Bobcaygeon the bowling ally had a few more games but only one pin.  I'll get the address for it too.
