Needed a break from work and decided to play a game of LOTR. Had an awesome game. Closest I have come yet to the ultimate wizard mode: had all Elf gifts but one, completed all mode awards except hadn't lite it for Valinor, and completed 2 of the MB modes. While playing I beat my previous Destroy the Ring time. My time's now at 38 and something seconds. I'm pretty pleased with that and don't think I'll beat it for some time.
How about other LOTR owners, what's your best time?
38 seconds is totally awesome! My best DTR is 1:18. I expect to improve on that in the near future as i start playing my games more often. I have little play time in the summer months due to the nice weather etc... As for Valinor, the closest I ever got was 4 gift of the elves with two of the multi-balls completed. I've only gone to TABA once!
This game drains me so much, that once I have one really good game, which entails long playing times with high levels of concentration, I have no energy to start again after, or play any other game... I still think that this is one of the best thought out games ruleset wise. Keith did a tremendous job!!
My best was just under a minute. 38 secs is awesome!!

Thanks for the feedback. My previous best was 58 sec something and I got that the first day I owned it Hadn't beat it since. I was really psyched to get 38 secs.
Dino, you are so right....the rules on LOTR are just incredible. Amazing attention to detail. The pin rocks!
Do you keep yours on a "two ball" DTR setting? (ie. one ball is captured in the ring while you try to knock it out with the other). I've left mine this way, but I occasionally blow the magnet fuse if the ball stays in too long...

No. When I bought mine, it was set up so the ball goes through the ring. I never changed the setting as I had read alot of folks found the same problem you mention. Also, I find the shot to the ring so random as is (i.e. sometimes the ball doesn't go through the ring, but hits off it...) that I didn't bother to change it.
I "use" to have it set to that but on two seperate occasions, I got the second ball stuck inside the ring instead of knocking the first one out. (...so I had two balls magnetized in the ring [ ..no snide comments from the peanut gallery please ! ] ).
It was kind of cool of see, but since I had to turn off the game to get the balls out, I lost my DTR opportunity both times. Since then I've set it to one ball.

That is WEIRD. I had the 2 balls getting caught by the magnet but they always released during ball search. You can then re-lock 1 and knock it out with the second, not losing your DTR mode.

After you get the 3 multiballs modes, you must Destroy the Ring by getting one ball in the ring, making the 4 ramp/loop shots and then getting 1 or 2 more balls in the ring (...depending on the setting )
Got me beat too......Mine is 35.47 sec with single ball DTR. Well I guess if I change my setting to to the two ball DDR I'll have something to shoot for.
