sorry for the long reply, printed on white translucent vynil
here are some pics of the finished project after about 200 games, didn't want to post before being sure everything was tested for endurance.I think this is the way to go for a real nice looking job...no ugly touch-ups!
still looks as shiny as when I clearcoated it (didn't buff )

thanks but ,Marco has the KISS pf....but not too crazy about dishing out the 700 dollars US they want for a piece of painted plywood!(I'm too cheap and not that crazy!!!!)
Some dude in Detroit has sold a couple of KISS playfields, virtually new, for $450 - $475 USD. This is the lowest price I have ever seen. I thought about picking one up just to have, but have other uses for the $$$ right now. At these prices, a new playfield is much more appealing. There may be more deals like this as the U.S. continues to stuggle financially.
Magneto, did you cut out the inserts in the overlay? And if so how to get it accurate?
Thank you!
actually I SHOULD of but tried something different.....I have the inserts covered with the vinyl which is translucent so the light does go through.this is a compromise between perfect alignment and insert color.some inserts are a-bit off but dosnt show at all this way.
the next one if I was to do another overlay will have blanks (no insert printed) and will cut out with a template after the overlay is put on(with a lamp under the pf for line-up),then put on an insert decal....this will grantee perfect alignment and the real beauty of the original plastic inserts.abit more work but should be real nice! its work in progress!
