I can never say no to a mint pin. Picked up an Addams Family Gold number #988 today. Been in a private home for the last ten years and it shows. MINT, MINT MINT is all I can say about the playfield, main reason I bought it. Playfield still shines like new. Other than a few nicks on the head that are in the black, the unit is in great shape. Will be a 9.5 when I finish restoring it.

AF/AFG is an amazing pin! Everyone seems to enjoy this pin from casual players to competative players. Great art, speech, music, and especially the gameplay.
Nice to hear it's in good shape. I would like to see some pics of it once you have a chance to clean it up.
Let me just say that I am a little envious of the deal you got, but once you were quite interested in it I backed entirely off on the machine so you could get a fair deal.

Thanks Necro. Fair is all I will say about the price, would have like to paid less, but these pins do not come around very often. Both the seller and I are very satisfied.

Did you check out the NIB auction lately? I have to laugh at the incorrect bid for $101,100. I know A list pins are pricey but that's ridiculous. I can only assume you paid less than a hundred grand then.
$14,334.09 was the final auction value. Do you believe that?? I paid much less that 1/3 of that and have a very pin. Wonder what I would get if I restore it and put it on Ebay?

I would think a lot if you were willing to take it personally south within say a 500 mile radius. If you try to sell it here I think you wouldn't have nearly the same success. The U.S. buyers will pay more but are very reluctant to deal cross border. If you posted you were willing to take it personally to a U.S. shipper then that also might work.

I think unless you have a box and are willing to lie and sell it "as nib", you'll get the normal ~ 4k that they usually go for.

For a gold? I don't think so. If it's a really decent gold you are going to get more than 4k.
When my kids were two or three years old they used to like to play with the box their toys came in. WTF good is the box other than to prove it's new. If it's really nice, forget about the bloody box. The box ain't worth no 7g's to me.
