Spanish manufacturer using a tft screen instead of scoring displays
here is a simple quote

* Coil Protection System without disclosing to other components.
    * LED lighting by reducing consumption and increasing its length
to the existing pinball.
    * Incorporation of magnetic sensors for the speed of the ball for
points and goals.
    * Incorporation into the top of the pinball of a TFT monitor.
    * Player image capture by camera.
    * Possibility of incorporating advertising on the monitor.
    * Easy to repair the machine without skilled labor.
    * Easy adjustment of playing Test and prices

Very interesting approach to building the playfield with different clear plastics. It looks like the playfield is clear plastic with printing on the reverse side for blocking light and transparent "insert" spots. Probably an economical approach vs wood, inserts etc.  The playfield isnt anything beyond the 70's in terms of layout. The Backbox reminds me of the Global a VR pinball.

Its like a futuristic 70's machine. Great there's more coming to market, albeit this will have a limited audience vs. the much more compley playfield designs Stern has put out.

I like the fact that there is another manufacturer out there. It is better to have some competition versus no competition. Now I don't think that they are a big threat to Stern, but they will provide a different style of pinball. Using different items, like the lcd screen (good) and pure plastic posts may take some getting used to.

Ricker's current lineup;

El Dorado          Flash.                   Royal Flush           Joker Poker
Volley               Pioneer                 Barracora             Black Knight
Meteor             Xenon

Umm those clear plastic posts will be hard hit so my guess is they are for show and will need to be replaced with something more rigidly attached as well as a rubber bumper.

Considering the "new" costs of manufacturing a hard clear plastic "playfield" and the ease with which vinyl wraps are designed and made... this direction makes a lot of sense. Rear projection and/or "under playfield" monitor might make some sense at some point too.

Are the plastic posts really at risk? The simple playfield layout makes me think that the flippers won't be too powerful.

Hola,

I contacted the manufacturer and they stated that they have sent the pin to a laboratory for certification.  I will get more info in about three weeks.  I'll let you know

Biggest thing I noticed was the wiring harness, or the lack thereof. Busses right to circuit boards that appear to be able to handle the power under the pf.

I thought about this approach before when the harness was stated to be one of the most labour intensive items to build. Better yet would be multi layer boards to handle power requirements and addressable devices on the pf.
