Ok, I admit, I'm a facebook neophyte... I don't know the first thing about Facebook.

As an early adopter of any new web-technology ( ICQ, NewsNet, Hotmail, Napster, etc... ) back in the 90's,
I've now gone full-reverse and shunned the whole facebook/blackberry/iPod movement.
Heck, I even renounced on my cell phone !

That said, what's all the hubbub about FaceBook ?
What's so neat that I should subscribe to it ?

Just curious....

Steph

I don't know, I got signed up by my girlfriend, I don't really bother to use it other then a source of distraction during slow times at work.

See...
That's the part that scares me !

I know a guy who's a Phys Ed teacher at a high-school,
and someone took a picture of him with their "camera-phone"
and created a FaceBook account of him and wrote all kinds of garbage.

He had no idea until some his peers confronted him about his "opinions" logged on his FaceBook account.

It caused all kinds of problems for the poor guy.

Not for me thanks...

S.

I think it's fairly neat to catch-up with old friends and acquaintances from elementary/high school. It's the lazy man's way of staying in touch.

well i am very lazy i guess.  i joined when there were less then 5000 in toronto area. now past the 500 000 mark.  use it quite a bit and have found loads of old friends.  just found a girlfriend that i grew up with and we are all meeting today.  haven't seen her in almost 10years.
