Probably dumb question... but i need to be sure....

I just ready to make my remote battery holder for my pin. I bought a 4 battery holder because there is no 3 bettery holder at the store.

Is there any probleme to put 4 battery instead of 3... or is it better to put a wire in the 4ieme battery place.

thank's Gino

Yes, you can use a 4 position holder, I usually just solder the red wire to the negative spring of the 4th battery position, it's just easier to do it there than it is to solder a jumper wire from the positive to the negative on the 4th position.

you can also use a Diode. It is sometimes required due to the PCB trying to charge the batteries, mostly older games require this as I understand it.

My Demo man did not need a Diode, but I used one anyway.

For which machine is it ?

If for one of your Bally listed in your signature, you _need_ to install a blocking diode
(so that the machine does not try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries while powered-up.
And only use 3 batteries, not 4.

See here:

Cheers,
- Sylvain.
