I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this issue for me.  When did Bally/Williams start diamond plating their playfields?  Were all newer Bally/Williams pins diamond plated or only some?  I am just wondering if MM and CV were diamond plated.

Yes they are...

Started around 1990, some late system 11's had a run of about 300 DP playfields for testing purpose (Diner, Whirlwind, Rollergames and also Funhouse, even thou that one was a WPC comes to mind).

I think some of the early WPCs had mixed runs of DP vs non-DP (Getaway, not sure what else..) but if your game is 1993 and up, i think there are 110% chances that it is DP (MM and CV were for sure).

Currently owning:
- Solar Fire, Medusa, Flash Gordon, (Centaur), No Fear

I know that the Banzai Run that I owned probably had some type of coating on it - I'm going to assume it was the diamond coat....
