I'm finally making some headway on the cpu boards. I have a prototype working that allows me to upload ROM code into flash memory using a parallel cable from a PC. I built in some of the logic of a (Necro will kill me here!) Willem programmer, to load the 4Meg on board Flash EEPROM via the asic. (using the Willem s/w). This FPGA-ASIC is a complete re-write of the wpc asic, and functions the same, with the exception of the RTC (Real time clock). I don't need a pinball to tell me what time it is

Your a better man than I am. I was thinking of using my Willem circuits for a Frisbee vice anything as practical as your application. |

Speaker panels done & a prototype translight. Prototype CPU board with ASIC fully functional now, time to make a pair of production models!

I see drop targets ... so I assume your not using the Demo Man PF's for this project. Are they custom PF or from an existing title? |

I'm using a somewhat modified version of a HSII pf, without the accelerator and stuff. Maybe a two-level upper area ... not 100% certain yet. A fully custom (brand new design) pf is a little beyond my capabilities with the tools I have available. I'd put drop targets everyplace if I could, just love them, however they take up too much under the pf space. These are my donors ... prior to being turned into whitewoods:

You should keep the accelerator, remove the magnets and add a flipper up there and do a similar thing to like No Fear to loop the ball over and over again in the accelerator, that would be cool |

Brent, your projects are unbelievably impressive.
A suggestion regarding the drop targets: add a set-up sweep shot for some classic feel. See Dragonfist, Quicksilver, Seawitch and Cheetah (and many others) for examples. Space Station and Space Shuttle also have a different twist on the drop target sweep from the flippers, but it's much less obvious than the aforementioned.
I'm sure whatever you do will be extraordinary.
