It's oustide of my price-range ($3700USD for a wedgehead), but is anyone tempted by the new King Of Diamonds?

Seems they did some neat touches with software (a 4-player game, but just 1 score display)

Would be interested to hear what people think of it @ Expo!

I think it MIGHT be closer to reasonable if it were half that price. I'd put my money into an LOTR, TSPP any other newish Stern or a few Sys 11's before an 'new' wedgehead.

I think the price is great considering all the work that has gone into this project.  I agree that you can get more for your $$$, but in terms of a brand new repro pin the pricing is good, especially where this isn't a mass produced product the likes of Stern.

For someone with a fairly heavy budget for a really nice games room this could be one really cool component. I dont know how marketing would go, but perhaps when someone is getting the pool table, darts etc they would buy this. I bet many of the owners would not necessarily be pinball collectors, just wealthy.

Ten SS games...but 8 is my limit!

They mentioned that there's 1000 made.  That would probably rival Stern's production numbers nowadays.  Ouch!

This would get my money 10x faster than almost any new crap pin.

That said, I don't have the money.

Price wise, this is a good price in my books. If it costs $5k for a new Stern, then $3.7k is great for this unique pin. It would be simply fantastic to see another company come to life and make pins just to give the consumer another option and provide a hint of competition to Stern. That way both companies will try harder.

Ricker's current lineup;

El Dorado          Flash.                   Royal Flush           Joker Poker
Volley               Pioneer                 Barracora             Black Knight
Meteor             Xenon
