Hi all
Just a brief summary of whats going on.

I had a firepower years ago and regretted selling it straight away firepower doesnt come up for sale very often in australia so the opertunity arrose to get my hands on a reasonable and 80% complete playfield.   And at a quick think i worked out i would almost have enough parts to make the whole game and i was very close.

Ive gathered up enough parts to get it to almost playable.   I decided to convert it to drop targets as a friend of mina has a firepower with targets already.

Here is a video of the drop targets installed and working.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAPmaBJGc38

And a photo of the way i received the playfield and how it sits at the moment

Firepower is an incredible pin. Hard to master, it's the player versus the machine, nothing more!!
Nice to see the drop target working, i have the same project

Not sure if you read any of my posts, but I just repaired a non-working one for my first project.  I love the game, and it's the fav of my 8 year odl daughters.

I'm now learning restoration.  If the PF comes out looking sweet, I'm going to flip the $300 bones for a williams second run backglass I saw somewhere, and I'll be selling the one I have now, which has a bit of flaking, but isn't too too bad.  I could give you the site for the new ones, as I know they have a few left as well, but I'll have to wait until I'm back at work, as I can't find the site at home.

Here is my thread in my repair of FP:

http://archive.maaca.org/s107351202.onlinehome.us/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?m-1276046500/

I still need to replace the target faces, a couple light sockets, completely change out the flipper bats and rebuild, change out a couple backwards inserts, and touch up and cc the PF.  I was thinking about the drop targets, but I decided against them as I don't think I would like them on this game, in that area.

Check out this one, may have some photos to help you along the way:

Thanks for the links Atomiboy im also interested in the site with the backglasses when you an get it.   This firepower will be getting a clearcoat and a full cabinet respray so a new backglass would be awsome.

Ive also started to rebuild all the mechs not turning out to badly from dirty rusty old bits new coil sleeves diode and bumper links and all the rest is original parts

Looking good.  Let me know if there is anything I can help you with.  I have become very familiar with this machine over the last two months.

I would think shipping from North America to you would be insane for something like a backglass...
