I'm guessing you might want to go with a Pascal board and be done with it - P1-X4 board - .   Do you know if the MPU works yet?   These System 1's are famous for the spider chip issue.  There's a lot of steps in the Clay guide during testing of the MPU board where you have no choice but to buy an Ni-Wumpf / Pascal board.

210 euros for the P1-X4 board (all 4 boards in 1 - mpu, power, driver, sound), or the P1-board (130 euros).

Actuallyt the CPU was quite F@@cked up so i already have a NiWumph, but my power supply is bad so I may just make a new one instead....
