I'm looking for 2 different pinball related trophy toppers for the TOPL league.

The ones that sentinelking posted about are too small.

Anybody have any ideas.

Thanks
Mike

Sorry... the MAACA cup ain't for sale (especially since it cost me 200$). I even built an extension base for it... just haven't stained and varnished it yet. Both are collecting dust unfortunately... sad.

HEre:

I prefer our current ones over the MAACA cup, but I still think the idea with Flippers and a newton ball mabye a pop bumper would be a good idea.

Yup... that is the original top. The base I built is a foot high and made of walnut. Plenty of room for more nameplates for winners of tournaments... but problem is no one wants tournaments or meetings.

So it is in my garage along with the Multiball cup and the "Gottlieb" perseverance award.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that. I know you can usually count on Vengeance, Squid and I anytime we can make it.

??? What do you think we have been doing in Ottawa? There have been three meetings/tournaments in the last while, all very well attended and discussed on MAACA. You even attended one, right, at Jean Marc's?

I have attended 1.5 (I was late for the last one) and folks are signing up to host as well. So far Doug, Jean Marc, and Medvet have hosted in Ottawa recently. To say no one wants tournaments or meetings is not correct.

I would. Initially there was a meeting every month. Now nothing is going on in Montreal. Ottawa now has a pinball league but attendance is still timid.

I don't know... guess it lost it's appeal. I once had nearly 20 people at my place. I still make some meetings now, but there seems to lack some general interest in our area.

Happens... I don't worry about it too much.

That may be true in "your area", but to say folks aren't interested isn't true in Ottawa.

I think the topper from 'Tommy' would make for a great upper section.

You could even go as far as making the base it sits on large enough to have the league and trophy name read out (reflected) on the topper, the same way it's used on the game.

... not what I saw at Jean-Marc's, but then again I could be wrong. 7 showed up including me, and 2.5 hours later, I was the only one left with Jean-Marc and RedFive.

OK... enough on that... I honestly don't care on dwelling on it. People made their decision a long time ago, and I no longer push the meetings, nor do I offer cash winnings at tournaments.

Speaking of Cahs winnings, that's a good way to segway in the TOPL Tournament this Sunday

Anyone who wants details on the TOPL Playoffs this sunday let me know, $30 Entry for non-members, $20 Entry for past members who have paid their league dues.

All money goes toward the cash prizes.

If you want details on where and when and what time and stuff just shoot me a PM!

I was thinking of your avatar. Nothing says trophy like that Goddy ugly looking thing.

There are three regions. T.O., Ottawa and Montreal. Arguably Calgary might have enough guys too.

There should be a list of people from each region made up that can be contacted regarding participating in a tournament and then a playoffs between regions.

That would be way to time consuming to keep track of.

The TOPL playoffs information is up on the newsgroup for anyone to see at any time, the date has been scheduled for months now, I post here when I remeber and for the people really interestead this is nothing new, join the news group and check the calendar if you are really interestead.
