Yes, I too am a Habs fan! Since I was 5 years old and first played hockey. Growing up in Labrador - your choice was Habs, Leafs! I Chose Wisely!!!

Drive for 25!!!

Best hockey memory: Was at game 7 in 1986 when Claude Lemieux scored the OT winner against Hartford in the Division Finals. City went nuts.

my favourite Habs moment is when Roy played in the 94 playoffs, and played THROUGH appendicitis... AND won the game.  Now that's heart.. sure, the guy's an arrogant prick, but he is also the best goalie to have ever played the game!

Vive les Habitants!

(4-1 over Boston, WOOT!)

Appendicitis!? *yawn*

Try playing the second half of a game with a torn scrotum. that can not be beaten for sports immortality.

If my memory is right, Lemieux came from behind the net and backhanded the puck over the shoulder, correct?  Claude Lemieux is probably one of the biggest pricks to have ever played hockey, every body hated him, even his own teamates... and everyone would want him on his team; Claude was one of the best clutch performers in the history of the NHL.

I remember one of the playoff series againt the Islanders, good ol' Claude decides to fight back during a scrum in a corner that turns into a fight by just biting the poor islander guy's hand.  It was one of those surreal moments, cause you kind of were ashamed but jeez was it ever funny.

Not sure, but could also have been in the same playoff series that Bob Gainey was put face first into the glass by Trots I think, with the result he dislocated both his shoulders.  Of course, being one of the toughest gutsiest guy in hockey, he finished the game and never missed any games.  Only after the series was over did we learn of his injury.

Gainey was one-of-a-kind. No one has even come close to him in the team (or elsewhere for that matter) since. That guy was ready to sacrifice it all for his team. We seldom see that loyalty to team and sport today. And to top it all, he is a very brilliant man and extremely respected in the business side of hockey. Love him or hate him, we are very lucky to have him as GM.

I'm rooting for a Mon/Detroit final.  We need a final with alot of history to help the NHL out...no 6 year old franchises making it...lol
