This isnt my month for sure... dont have time to play a single game, father in law comes home and play my BSD non-stop for 2 days.. then mist magnet motor stop working 1. Got a magnet left/right error. both switches are working (tested) and magnet is powered (tested). It also loads it ball fine to the magnet (magnet load tested), but motor wont move or activate at all and test mode says "magnet left error", "magnet right error". I Googgled it quick, saw a few possibilities but if someone who had the same problem could give me a few hints, that would speed up the process. 2. Like if it wasnt enough, i lift playfield to do some tests and i somehow broke left flipper. It wont activate at all now, not even in test mode, only right flipper gets powered grrrrrrrrr... What can this be ? Didnt had time to test voltage at the coil yesterday etc, was too tired and pissed (with father in law waiting behind me to play ) Any quick hint would be welcome guys, flipper should be an easy one i guess, sounds like a transistor isnt it ? Or what else... please save me some reading Sylvain, who will soon end up with 3 project machines as father in law moved on Johnny Mnemonic since he broke BSD... |

Sounds like you need to put some fake "out of order" signs up when your father in law comes to town. Good luck...sorry I can't help you out.

I Don't own a BSD so I can't help you with the Magnet pb. But the flipper sounds like you snagged wire somewhere and you either disconnected pwr/grnd or shorted it somehow.
good luck |

Flipper fixed, Fliptronic II board fuse 901 was blown... Now to the magnet... i tested magnet board power output in test mode and there is no power going out of it, any idea what fuse is driving it ? Or maybe optos are fucked and prevanting it to be activated.... |

More on my BSD magnet problem...
Did some tests tonight, all optos and switches are working fine in switches edge test.
I did find out, however, that machine is blowing fuse F111 (flashers secondary) on the power driver board. Changed it and instantly blows it again.
Anyone is familiar with that ? Wtf does it have to do with the magnet motor ? Any ideas on the cause of that (which might be same as the magnet issue i assume) ?.
Thx Sylvain |

Oh boy, did googled a bit on fuse F111, makes much sense that it is driving the motor... and what i read is scary, looks like i'm in for some serious fun and blown transistors... might be a bridge rectifier as well from what i read. Time for bed i guess... |
