Had one, sold it... MrHide owned it as well for a few months... nobody else in Montreal is buying pins
It was in Phil's garage for 4 months until his buddy moved into a new appartment. Mr. Hide may be many things but to purchase JM, no way. What kinda war you trying to start?

What is that exactly suppose to mean?
Just keep on doing what you guys are doing in Montreal. In fact we can send you all the stuff in Ontario that no one wants here. There may be some sort of twisted market for it out there since you guys seem to have no interest in what we want.
It's one thing to buy a pin. It's anouther to just flip it right away. You guys flip pins like they are flap jacks. Sheesh I thought I was bad. Hard to say you owned it when it barely made it off the cart.
JM has an "exact" mirror playfield of LOTR (ie. inversed - no surprise Gomez did both). However they play very differently. The physics of Stern games are different from Williams as was discussed in the past. As I do with all my pins, I've set it steeper than average with all settings at hard or very hard. When set up that way, it is a blindingly fast and a chalenging game. It has what I consider the best orbit shots/physics in pinball (similar to NoFear). By the time you're ready for that third consecutive orbit shot, the ball is just a blurr; this thing flows. Also the wizard mode is very good and unusual for the era. As A. Stebel had mentioned in a previous post, starting modes is not enough to help you get to the grand finale. You need to at least do very well or complete many modes so that you collect enough gigabytes for powerdown. Going into powerdown with low GB won't get you very far. Kind of a LOTR "light" ruleset on the modes. The hand has been extemely reliable on mine, it will slow down over time which means the X and Y-axis pins need to be cleaned and it will be as good as new. For some reason, over time, it generates gunk on these pins. Finally, I recommend that you watch the movie (try to stay awake), it helps better understand all the modes etc...

Owned mine for almost a year actually... so i guess it fits into the "owned" category.
I liked it, its a good game. But i eventually got tired of Crazy Bob as the ball was going there by itself much too often. The glove also got old after a while and kinda slowed the game's pace.
Still, i would say its a good game, i see nothing bad about it, especially for the price it can be had for. The wizard mode is fun and not easy to reach, as Dino mentonned, if all you do is starting all the modes, you wont get to it as you need a specific amount of gigabytes to start it.
