What is a good credit card with decent rewards that has no annual fee?
Right now I have a Visa Shoppers Optimum card which I like as I actually use the rewards pretty frequently, It was pretty easy to accumulate points to spend. But they are discontinuing the card and the options they left me with I don't like. So I'm on the hunt for a new CC with decent rewards, I'd prefer something other then a MasterCard as I already have a MasterCard.

So what do you guys got?
Life is like Pinball!! You never know where you will bounce or where your going but sometimes you have that one amazing shot But on the other hand you have those darn gutter ball where you just get frustrated.
Cost 20$/year and give 1% back of all your purchases that you can apply on your mortgage and different Desjardins products.
So far i made hundreds of $$ to put back on my mortgage with that. 20$ a year would require you to put 2000$ on your credit card annualy to break even, thats nothing... my wife do that easily in the first weeks of the year
Currently owning: - Solar Fire, Medusa, Flash Gordon, (Centaur), No Fear ------------------
If it were me, I'd go for a card that gives you cash back ( 1% or 2% ).
I find reward "points" so subjective. Why is this item worth 20,000 point instead of 15,000 ? etc... You have no way to control the "cost" of the reward.
At least with cash, you know what you're getting...
See with a divdend card, I never spend enough for it to matter. I just added up everything I speant on the card last year and if I got a 1% divdend card I'd have $40 :/
That's why I like the shoppers one, the points went towards money, so as an example the $40 I would of got with a divdend card, I got to spend $150 at Shoppers Drug Mart with the points I accumulated.
I was thinking about getting the Canadian Tire one where you accumulate Canadian Tire money on every purchase but it's a Master Card and I already have a MasterCard, would prefer to have Visa or AMEX as if I ever go to a place that doesn't take MC I'll have the Visa and vice versa.
I know this won't help you as it's a Mastercard, but I really like my Citibank Petro Card. I save .02 per litre at the pump and get points. Granted the points are pretty useless, but the discount on gas feels good.
I've been meaning to get a PC card as I hear that is pretty good.
In terms of your annual spending on the card, I think you need to change you habits to realize the benefits a point card. I try to spend everything on my cards and I pay the cards off every month. I'm not as good as one of my friends. He pays absolutely everything by CC and pays weekly. Doing this he has paid for a few trips via aeroplan.
I have the PC Mastercard and I like it, paid for grocieres a few times.
The other side is this is my internet card I'm losing. My MC has a large limit that I never use on the internet and this is the card that I keep a $500 limit on for all internet transactions so if it were ever to become comprimised they couldn't rack up a huge bill. Which is why it's not my daily spending card/
Be careful of any credit card issued by Credit Unions. - if - you travel to cuba. The processor for these credit cards was purchased by a US financial company, and as a result of their embargo, you can't use them in Cuba (or any other country with a trade embargo with the US). If you don't goto cuba, then ignore..
... nevermind a card. Just let me know how much you need and I will give it to you, with 20% interest. Borrow 10000$ from me and I will give you a free tank of gas a year up to 100 litres, so that you go buy more pins and then borrow even more from me.
