saw the movie really dissapointed, they should of left the series at 3 not 4... If you want to compare movies.. Indy 4 = Episode 2 starwars.
Also Temple of Doom rocks!.... If i were to rate indy. it would be 3, 2 , 1 then 4 by a long shot. I think indy 4 was produced for little kids. like the age of 5!
Also ford is too old, you can really see it in the first 5 mins of the movie.
movie was ok (unfortunatly, we watched National treasure 2 yesterday ) pin was... a classic stern. Man that backglass is bad. *please* hire an artist. everybody can photoshop!
1$ / game
gameplay: not a lot of shots...I think I looped the only ramp 15 times in a row ... the little girl watching me couldn't believe it. played for way too long, left the replay credit for the little girl and walked away.
I still think it's a ripoff of Jurassic park's playfield (which is a ripoff of whirlwind). not enough shots.
there ... I said it. I find it very ordinary. thank god you can hit the flippers to speed things up.
don't believe a word I say ... go and find one and judge for yourself!

I just found out on RGP that PBHOF now has one, just in time too! I'm going to vegas next week. I'll give you my review then.

first impressions, before playing: wow, what a plain pf. really not much going on in terms of art, inserts, shots, etc. the pf was like all gold/yellow with some cut out images from the movies cut+pasted in. it gave me the impression of like one of those cheap zizzle toys. anybody who says this game looks nicer than the WPC IJ is nuts IMHO. basically, i was a little taken aback, especially with POTC and SHREK next to this machine, and those gaves have way more going on in terms of sheer amount of stuff on the pf.
3 credits later ...
"blah" is the main word here. first of all, the center post between the flippers SUCKS. it changes the whole way i have to play, and not in a cool challenging way, but more in a "wtf" kinda way. instead of designing the game properly to prevent SDTM from the ark magnet, they had to redesign how pinball has been done since i've been playing.
none of the shots felt particularly satisfying, and as mrhide says, there's just not many shots to begin with. i didn't play enough to get into the rules, but i didn't care that much because none of the sounds or stuff going on in the DMD drew me into the game.
on the plus side, bumpers get used a lot which i like. also enjoyed the ramp shot with the airplane sound effect (which to be honest, i probably enjoyed because it just made me nostalgic for the other IJ pin). the DMD animations, while failing to draw me into the rule set, were actually really well done, and i even got the feeling that it was running at a faster frame rate than any other DMD I've seen, which was cool.
really bummed i did not like this pin. when i saw pics and videos of the game, i wanted it to be my next pin. seeing it in person it just felt cheap compared to recent sterns. ah, well.
i will play it again if i get the chance, maybe in a better setting where I can immerse myself in the rules of the game. but for now, i've pretty much lost all interest in this one.
"If a movie is described as a romantic comedy, you can usually find me next door playing pinball." -George Carlin
So I played it at PBHOF. I played it only once though, there were too many other games calling to me, and too little time.
I found it enjoyable, the rules were simple, the music was good, and the shots were satisfying. My biggest beef was with the Last Crusade scoop, the ball always ended up in there somehow. Shoot left, it ends up in the scoop, shoot the right orbit, it ends up in the scoop.
Maybe I suck, but I don't think I was ever able to hit the map room, which I've read is important.
I'll definitely play it again if I see it on route, but I don't think I'll be buying it. I had way more fun with PoTC and FG (got high score #3 on that one, just like on the Shrek at Medvet's).

Played IJ4 at Starburst today, really disappointed. Great theme, could of done so much with the pin, but as has been stated before, it was pretty "blah". Played two games and quickly lost interest, went to play Spiderman Black, for some reason I like that game, shaker motor adds so much to the pin, if they could only finish the code.
It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!
I played IJ4 at amusement 2000, very disapointing. Not enough shots, I don't like their new split screen to save memory, it takes forever when the ball fall in the scoops, the dmd anims are slow and hard to see, very repetitive gameplay ... The Cairo swordman toy sucks ... There is only the multiball that is cool ..
I was very interested to buy a brand new Batman, now I have been a bit cooled.
