Well, in order to save my back, I decided to remove the head from my new WPC pinball, before moving it down some tight stairs. Little did I realize that there are about a billion connectors to put back. So... I save my back but I spend most of the evening trying to figure out where the hell everything goes back!
In fact, the body of the WPC game seemed lighter than a 70's EM that was also moved today (just ask Mark).

(Im sure some of the pin vetrans can figure out what pinball I just got from the large version of this pic)
I'll say that guess 1 is IJ...(if not then it's a TZ)
Hint: Check the upper right corner...

Look closely on the paper stapled to the door on the left.
And for all of you that intend to remove a head off of a pinball, remember this little piece of advice:
A SHARPIE PEN IS YOUR BEST FRIEND!!!
All of the header pins have a location ID written on the circuit board... whether it be a WPC, old Bally, and even Gottliebs, which had one up on everybody by actually having stickers on the connectors to make sure you put them in the right place!!!
Always write on the connector with a sharpie pen the location ID on the circuit board. And for connectors that go with other connectors, and not on the board, I always number both connector ends.
This will add maybe 10 minutes to your task in the beginning, but will save you hours at the end.
When I took the head off my BSD when I delivered it, it took me 20 minutes to put all the connectors back in place.
Yep, Indiana Jones. Sparky gets the MAACA Sherlock Holmes award (with honorable mention to Frosken).
Sparky: I realized now that I should have labelled them. I was in a rush, out in the cold garage with help arriving soon (and for a limited time). I figured with everything keyed unique (well 95% unique) it would be easy. I will be labelling them from now on.
Mr Hide: You are referring to the grey ribbon cable? I will check that out. The machine was fully working before I took it apart and I did not move any of those cables.
If you have any trouble, send me an email. I have an IJ and can tell you where things go I would take a picture for you, but I had to send my digital camera in today (again ).

the one where it is plugged in should go to that additional 8 transistor little board

Honorable mention????
I got it first!
I could read the sheet too...
I went for less 'obvious' things like:
The small auxillary driver board in the top right-hand corner and the fact that the siderails were close to the backbox which indicated it's a wide-body...
I should have said just IJ when (later) I noticed that it was a DCS sound card...which would have cancelled my 2nd guess...
The picture was fuzzy, thus I wasn't 100% sure it was written "Indiana Jones" or "Twilight Zone"...
