Aside from the crazy location of this unit ford decided that  it was a 100,000k filter. REALLY! Sounds like crap to me. When  the 100,000k does come up Ford wants over 250$ for the part (plus install if  you don't doit yourself) cuz the box is sealed. Not to mention that the tubing is seriously undersized and restricts flow to the engine causing very low throttle response. Many owners are swapping the stock system for a C.A.I. unit. on this note, Anyone have a Cold Air intake for an 05 focus with a 2.0 litre Duratec for sale?

All the more reason I'm in no real hurry to buy a newer vehicle. They are not shadetree mechanic friendly. They are not always regular mechanic friendly either. The newer Ford Superduty pickups with the diesel engines are a real pain to work on. Some repair operations actually require that the cab be removed from the truck.
