Ya right. There were these two guys see, and they wanted this playfield really bad. The rest of the field seemed to back out when the price was below 1 k. This must be a record, someone call Guiness. flashman |

ROTFLMAO!!!!!
I sincerely hope that the guys at Classic Playfield reproductions are looking at these auctions...
Here are a few other crazy result prices from completed auctions:
NOS TSPP playfield : 354$ NOS Paragon playfield: 932.22$ (holy mess...) NOS IJ playfield: 1502.99$ (arent these Diamondplates supposed to last forever from the factory??? ) NOS Mata Hari playfield : 737.97$ (huh??? ) NOS STTNG playfield : 770$, AND IT DIDN'T HIT RESERVE!!! NOS CV playfield : 1025$
And current auctions as I write this:
NOS NGG playfield: 905$ (man, those Williams pfs must be crap!!!) NOS Mata Hari backglass: 250$ (you can repro it at that price...) NOS Bally Playboy backglass: 350$ (WTF???? I bought an old Bally backglass in near mint shape for 100$ a while back...)
Just goes to show that a small group of "elite" collectors go balls-out ape-mess when the 3 letters N O S appear on an Ebay auction...
Hey...I won't lie... I would love an NOS playfield for my Paragon, but for the price that the NOS one sold for, I can have 2 original playfields retouched and clearcoated by Bill Davis and the end result will look BETTER than original, and 99.99% of people won't know the difference! I guess it just proves that there is a market for everything. |
| Retiring soon... |

Wow, ... that was the PF I was actually interested in...
A buddy of mine (...not on MAACA..) who HAS a Joust Pin, figured it would go as high as $200 ! HA !
I was ready to go to $400-450, but yowza, $2500+ ????
That's just mental !

of course, it would sell for less than what Williams sold it for brand new ten years ago. Just like every other part on the market the last five years |

I don't get the ST:TNG. It was a proto playfield and wouldn't work in the game -- take a look at the NZ hole it's HUGE!!!. If you buy it, you are buying wall art. It didn't meet reserve??? Holy crap, Batman!
