Finally - found a supplier in the Ottawa area willing to give a decent price for playfield glass. I'm planning to place an order this afternoon for 10 pieces at $34.84 each (+tax). Will update this thread when the order is received with comments on the quality of service, product, etc.
The quoted price for 50 pieces only drops to $32.83 each so it doesn't seem worthwhile to go for a larger volume.
I'm sure there must be a Montreal-area supplier willing to deal as well. Hint: try calling a glass manufacturer/wholesaler instead of retailers.

I did call a few manufacturers, lowest I got was 50$ in Mtl.
No worries... I will be getting some from Websherpa. I will probably do a pick-up in Ottawa.
Own Magic, Star Gazer, Batman Forever, STTNG, Mystery Castle (project)

I'm curious to hear how this turns out, ~$30 sounds like a great price, having it local is even better! Do you know if they bevel the edges (or whatever that's called). And stupid question: the glass is tempered, right?

Eased edges (minimal edge treatment), tempered. I put a deposit this afternoon, the glass should be ready in about two weeks. I will report on how it turns out.

Good Day! I'm looking for 2 playglass, one regular size (Beat the Clock) and one widebody (LaserBall). Would it be possible to add to your order? If not could you let me know who the supplier is and I'll contact directly.
I picked up the glass a while ago, it came in two packages of 5 sheets. Each was wrapped with cardboard and stretch plastic, with the individual sheets separated by small cork squares. Manufactured by Eastern Float Glass in Stittsville, just a few doors down from the seller. Final price was $365.82 taxes included.
A few days ago I finally opened one of the packages to replace the glass of Doctor Who. What a difference! The old glass looked like it was dragged around a parking lot. The new one can hardly be seen.
It took until tonight before I could actually play however. The machine had some new problems, probably both due to soft drink spills a long time ago. The start button would stay pressed indefinitely, and the right flipper was locked on. Had to take everything apart and clean out the goo, broke one of the optos (maybe it was failing anyway) but the other seems to work fine, and only one is needed on the right side.
