It seems the american econmy is not in total chaos, some pins got good money. A-List pins got the going rate, no give aways there. A NIB Dale JR, in the heart of Nascar country only got $3100 and I was surprised to see how cheap the older Stern pins went for. To bad the canadian dollar is so low, not worth bringing pins in from the states anymore.

It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!

Yea but my understanding is if that was a Super auction there are all sorts of premiums that you have to pay, so even the ones that seem like a decent deal most likely wern't after you had to pay all the auction fee's.

Yeah, take these results with a couple huge grains of salt. Every Super Auction I've been to (5 or 6 of them) has had the same dude bring the majority of the pins (like 80% of them) and he'll just bid them up, buy them back and then make side deals with people when the auction is over. Plus there's the 12% buyer's premium and taxes (both state and federal) on those prices even when they're not buybacks. And, of course, the machines are often (usually) well-routed pieces of crap. Sometimes there are nice-ish machines, but that's not the norm.

My humble two cents.
