       JUst noticed that none of my sent messages are being saved, and that all the old ones have been purged. I checked my preferences and it should be saving them...anyone else having that issue?

Ditto. What it does save it is impossible to sort through. I don't know what rules it sequences them by but it seems to have something to do with grouping by an individual. Alphabetical and date seem to have little bearing on it's method of sorting.

I prefer e-mail.  A much better way of making sure your messages are archived.  PM's are only good as long as the site is up, and the recipient logs in.

Email is a bit more universal (especially in this day and age of Blackberries and cellphones).

Email is fine but if you leave your address exposed it becomes a spam target. I had a nice clean mailbox, no spam at all, until joining this board. I didn't realize until a spam arrived the next day that my address had been made public by default. Switched it off, but too late - now I get viagra spam several times each day.

Always worked great for me, i have all my sent pms saved with no issues..

Just check "Save Message:    Check this if you want to save this message in your sent items. " next time you send one and it will always be checked by default.

I tried the old click then unclick the box method..it worked!!  Sent messages are now being saved!!
