I was curious, I'm getting tired of trying to sift through tumbler media by hand so I thought I might grab one of these...

I was wondering if there might be something I could pickup local instead of having to buy something from the US.

Also I need to pickup more Flitz, rally like the way that stuff cleans up the metal, any local source for that as well?

Thanks

Hmmm... Well you could always go the cheap route.

a) a cheap cat tray or scoop? http://www.felinepinelitterbox.com/products.htm (not your style you say )

b) what about a plastic kitchen collander/strainer and a bucket? (true, it is hard to get one with large enough openings though. Heck I couldn't even find a picture of one to post!  )

c) ok, how about crafter's wire mesh and a bucket? http://www.wiremeshdisc.com/wire-mesh-galvan.htm (I've found similar cheap stuff at home depot in various opening sizes )

Good luck
Adam

Hi Adam

I picked up the small handheld version and it's useless for the small stuff which is what you don't want to have to find by hand.

I found a post by somebody on RGP who said to use a magnet. I've been using one of those extendable magnet wands and it works awesomely. Picked one up for a couple of bucks at CT or Princess Auto. Can also use it to fish out the screws in the bottom of the cab you drop or in hard to reach places on the playfield.

Oh ya...
Well my ideas are multi tasking too you know.

You could use the cat tray as... well... a cat tray I guess.

The kitchen strainer could be used to make pasta after you're done working on your pins.

The bucket could be used to hold other stuff to... like... erm... O.K, I know, you could use it as a spitoon if some cowboys come over... or maybe as a slop pail if you had some hogs to feed...

And the mesh!, well, it can be used to... to... to...ARRRRGH!
OK I admit it... they're all crap ideas!
There, you happy now.

Medvet's magnet idea leave's em' in the dust.... Damn it!

Adam

Home depot has them.  I think they are around $12 or so?

I got mine at Active Surplus in downtown Toronto for around $6.
