of every single piece or arcade-related equipment
I've ever bought since buying my first item

Well, just for fun, I totalled everything up today...

Wow...

I didn't think the numbers would get that high !

In roughly 6 years, I've spent about $35K on games and accessories !!!
(...this is NET out-of-pocket expenses.  This amount includes
the money I've received from the sale of previous games )

I realize that many of you have spent FAR more than that
(...hell, Jim spent that on shipping alone this month !  ,
but I was taken aback when I realized what I "could" have
done with that money...

I don't regret a single thing,
...but I won't complain next time my wife buys a new pair of shoes...  

(.,. however, unlike shoes, I can sell my collection tommorrow
and likely still get about $25K back... )

I am at about 15Gs spent since 2001. Not much to show for it though... I spent indirectly on site and parts and such... a lot of the money was reinvested in other ventures as well.

I may be an exception but if i was to sell my current 3 games, i would be over.

It was a VERY long process to move all these games back and forth but i slowly built my way up.

Yes, I guess if people are skillful at finding project games,
fixing them up, and "up-selling" for better games,
you can actually get ahead of the game,

... but I would think that that is probably the minority of collectors

Steph, you need to adjust your perspective. You haven't "spent" $35K, you've "INVESTED" it...in assets  

Hell, the last couple of pins I've sold gave me a better Return-On-Investment (percentage-wise) than my friggin investment portfolio!
