...To add to HAL9000's post on favorites... I decided to have fun with pins and vids that I find absolutely horrendous!!!
Pins: ROLLER COASTER TYCOON-- actually the ONLY pin I ever walked away from in the middle of a game... HORRIBLE! Is this the best Stern could think of when it came toi taking a PC game and turn it into a pin???
JUNGLE LORD -- the frickin ball always went to the same spot on the mini playfield...DROVE ME NUTS!
WHITEWATER --- Hello, Mr.Nordman? WTF were you thinking while designing this game? If you don't go for the skillshot which is tough, 98% of the time the ball gutters... and the DMD animation sucks. I find it SEVERELY overrated. A hit with collectors because it is brutal, but it must have sucked on location... Get your ball guttered so many times without any flipper action, and you move on...
POPEYE -- and somebody at Williams thought this would sell???
ROCKY -- after 20 years I am still trying to figure this one out...
Not-so-honorable mentions: Bally Spy Hunter (weird), most Gottliebs from the mid-80's (no comment), DE Hook (why?, Back To The Future (that looks NOTHING like Michael J.Fox), Space Station (in the same line as late 80's Ballys... zzzzzz), most early SS Ballys for their cheesy sounds (Williams were light years ahead...)
Now for vids:
KANGAROO -- This piece of mess gets on my nerves in all ways... sound is horrible, playability is crap, graphics are for toddlers... almost like a Boohbah videogame... you want to destroy it with a sledgehammer)
CARNIVAL --- How stupid can you get... no wonder they all got converted.
ASTRON BELT -- Yeah... one of those laserdisk games in the mid to late 80's... barely playable... the film makes your ship look like it is going all over the place, but you are not even touching the control stick... I found after a while that I got a better score by putting in a quarter and not touching anything.
all GALS PANIC games -- This is a perfect example of taking a perfectly good game (Qix), and making a really stupid thing out of it. Apparently still a moneymaker with the pimple-covered-nerdy teen boys crowd...
All SIMULATORS like DDR -- It is this that has taken the arcades from the cool people and given it to the frickin tweens...Want physical simulators that are stimulating? Get me one of those punching bag machines or arm-wrestling machines from the 60's (no, not Arm Champs II, which a 6 year old can beat...the real ones using hydraulics!)... Anything that will actually HURT you!!! ...I dunno... maybe if they made a classic rock or heavy metal version of DDR that didn't involve pressure pads, but only one jelmet with a vibration sensor... Headbanging time, boy!!! Actually, put pressure pads on the SIDE of the machine, make it into MMR... Mosh Mosh Revolution!!! BTW, you will be able to buy a DDR machine for peanuts in the next couple of years... they will be burning them.
Not-so-honorable mentions: Williams Bubbles (play Defender, then Robotron, then play Bubbles... you will know what I mean), Boonga-Boonga (right, JD? ), all of those redneck fishing and hunting games (yeah... like THEY are realistic...), Taito Stratovox (a feeble attempt to copy Galaxian, and add speech... always sounds like static to me, and the game was so primitive compared to what was out there), Spy Hunter 2 (a crime to be associated with the awesome first one...), and I could go on and on...
To me the worst video game was Badlands.. A lserdisc game.
All you had to do is press the HUGE red button when you wanted to shoot.... That's it.. press ONE button once in a while... Pretty lame.

As for pinballs... I haven't met one that I didn't like. But of course... there are some that are waaaaay over rated for their value like KISS and Fathom.

Worst Pin I have played has to be Shak Attack,Then Teenage Mutant ninga turltles. Thats all
Life is like Pinball!! You never know where you will bounce or where your going but sometimes you have that one amazing shot But on the other hand you have those darn gutter ball where you just get frustrated.
I can't think of any pins that i truly disliked.. Except maybe for City Slickers... Eh Frosken ?!?
In my case I find most pins not exciting enough to be interesting... Especially the earlier machines (pre-1990)... I don't care what the title is.. Xenon, BK, KISS, etc.. They're repetitive and they don't do anything for me although some do look cool...
There is the nostalgia factor involved though.. Some I like because I've spent a fortune in them as a kid: Flight 2000, Meteor, Haunted House, Orbitor 1, High Speed, Pinbot, Special Force.. to name a few.. High speed I had for a year.. too easy, sold it... Pinbot I just got, I killed it within a week (got to the sun, multiple multiball jackpots, etc...), so now it's in pieces and I'm restoring it.
Some newer machines I've tried but didn't really like although it may just be unfamiliarity: TZ, Drac, Dirty Harry..
Some that I liked right away: MM, ToM, Judge Dredd, LOTR, AFM, TFTC, STTNG, Roadshow.
I don't really care about collectability.. The game has to catch my attention quickly(cool toys, funny speech, etc.) to be on my want list..
One game I've never even seen but would love to try is Junkyard..

I gotta agree on Whitewater, i had 0 fun playing that pin. Someone has to explain me why it is so highly rated because its beyond me.. drain monster. 10 seconds games are not what i like obviously.
Another one i hated big time when i was a kid was Stern's Trident. Havent played it for a long time but last i remember it was fitting into the 15 seconds games machine list.
#3: Sega's South Park. COME ON WTF IS THAT, ugly looking, EXPENSIVE and theres even a toilet on the pf ? NO THX. I gave it a chance but i have no fun with a game that farts.. sorry, i'm older than that now.
I'll have to think about #4 and 5.. noting comes in mind right now.
Currently owning: -Â Solar Fire, Medusa, Flash Gordon, (Centaur), No Fear ------------------
Whitewater's problem: garbage sound and animation.
Drain monster? that's the challenge, non?
My worst includes:
- Q-Bert (what the #@$@#$@# is THAT!! - Hurricane (hate it with a passion) - Waterworld (played it once...and left mid-way into the game) - Cue Ball Wizard (Even if it's the only pin to play in a 500-mile radius, I won't touch it) - Sharkey's shootout (same thing) - TMNT (crap crap crrrrrrrrap!!!) - others I can't remember...
Frosken...who owned a City Slicker and it wasn't THAT bad...
Current 'working' lineup: ( 2 ) Flipper Football, The Shadow
Gone but not forgotten: ( 22 ) City Slicker, Dirty Harry, CFTBL, Big Shot, Big Guns, Black Rose, Judge Dredd, Indianapolis 500, Big Game, BS: Dracula x 2, Beat the Clock, Fire!, F-14 Tomcat, Getaway, Breakshot, Cheetah, Meteor, El Dorado, Nitro Ground Shaker, Chexx Hockey, Slugfest
YES! Tglover is a crackhead! Complete MAACA-Wacko!

I don't quite understand why people call it a drian monster? I've had two WH20's in the last month and while each one plays different I don't consider them a drain monster at all. You have good and bad games, and I'm about 50/50 in that regard.
As for flow, once you're in the "groove" with this game you REALLY know it. And boy is it rewarding!
Now as for games I can't stand..... I haven't really met a pin I absolutely hate, but vids.......
I've never really been overwhelmed with the classic LD games (Dragon's Lair, Space Ace etc). The new hunting style games just bother me too.
