Hey operators, long time pinball owners, and pinball historians...

Is there an actual "industry standard" name for the crud that accumulates around the flipper buttons?

I call it DNA.
Every pin that enters my house gets these buttons cleaned. Probably the only time they have been cleaned in 25+ years.

Ricker's current lineup;

El Dorado          Flash.                   Royal Flush           Joker Poker
Volley               Pioneer                 Barracora             Black Knight
Meteor             Xenon

FINGER FLIPPIN' JAM.

I have never heard an industry term for this stuff, probably because it was discovered by collectors, so it's up to you guys to name it. I have offered the above as my wise a** submission, and hence have done my part.

It's the only thing you will get for free from a route operator, that and old gum.

What about cabinet carvings, solder drips, bad bulbs and broken screws in the cabinet bottom, plus tobacco stain on translites and backglasses, I think they throw those in too.

Value added. Artifacts as proof the game is of good vintage.
